Recently bought a 3DO. (Need game recommendations.)

Wondering if you guys could recommend any games for me. I currently only have two games, Crime Patrol and Phoenix 3.

I remember the 3do version of Doom & Wolf 3d being better than most other platforms, same for Street Fighter 2, Samurai Shodown, D, and Road Rash.

I'd also recommend Killing Time, Star Control 2, Super Wing Commander, Wing Commander 3, Lucienne’s Quest, the Alone in the Dark series, and the Shockwave series.

Need for speed! That was epic. use to love the crashes

Gex was great, and Battlesport was a favorite of mine. 60 fps if memory serves. I also was partial to Road Rash, and Street Fighter 2. There was a D&D game I used to love that had randomly generated levels. It was a lot of fun.

@bunchanumbers: I'm guessing that the D&D game was either DeathKeep or Slayer. I actually have a 3DO I've been meaning to sell with a copy of Slayer, but I keep holding off thinking I'll buy a large lot of 3DO stuff on ebay and toss the doubles in with the one I'm selling. Except I never bought the lot. lol

This game was classic. I particularly liked when you set the difficulty level in the options menu. I think "hard" you got Sly saying, "Send a killer to catch a killer". If you selected "Easy" he said, "You Suck." lol

I don't have a 3DO but have heard that Lucienne's Quest is decent and is an exclusive JRPG for the console.

I know the first thing I'd buy for 3DO would likely be Road Rash.

Gex is good, played on PS1 of course but heard the original 3DO version is just as good.

The Need For Speed.

I never owned one, but my buddy did and Doom is pretty close to the PC counter part. Also The Need for Speed was pretty awesome.

I did some research and unfortunately the 3DO port of Doom is rather crappy. Really bad frame rate. The person in charge of porting it actually talked about it on a youtube video. She only had 10 weeks to port it which wasn't enough time to optimize it. Though, she also did the Wolfenstein 3DO port and that one turned out really good.
