So I have a Translucent Blue original xbox with about 50 original xbox games on the hard drive to include Kotor 1 & 2, Jedi Academy 1 & 2, Battlefront, Fable, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3; Medal of Honor, Black, Battlefield 2, and many more; plus thousands and thousands of emulated games for Atari, NES, SNES, Sega, etc. it has a toggle switch to change it back and forth from mod to standard. I bought this in-store brand new in the box overseas about ten years ago didn't know it was different until I plugged it in. What do you think this could be worth, and should I sell it or keep it? thanks in advance!

From what I have seen on ebay modded Xbox's tend to fetch a little bit more depending on the condition, the type of mod, and if any hardware was upgraded(bigger hdd, alternate samsung 4x dvd drive).

@suicidesn0wman: thanks, I looked around today and it seems that the transparent blue ones are rare and going for quite a bit, but they're not modded. What's crazy is that I bought it new off the shelf like that years ago. I had to search what the switch was for and then figured out that this one was really "special" lol.

If you really are into retro I would keep it, no point in selling it since it´s rare. Recently I paid $200 US for a Halo special edition w/box & paperwork, so if yours can do what you say without mods then expect to get pretty much what I paid for mine since it´s a blue one.

Well it's definitely a modded Xbox, and there is no way it was actually 'brand new in store' in that condition, since MS never put out an Xbox with a switch in back. The only reason I would want a modded Xbox is if the mod allows region free gaming so I could import Metal Wolf Chaos without having a Japanese Xbox. Though I intend on buying a Panzer Dragoon Orta edition Xbox, I don't intend on using it after verifying it works.
