Mine was Mortal Kombat 2.
I think it was The Simpsons game, but maybe Ninja Turtles or Mortal Kombat 2. One of those.
It's crazy to think Konami published both of those awesome arcade games it's so sad how far they have fallen.
It's hard to say for me because when I'd be in an arcade I wanted to try all the games or at least a lot of them so I wouldnt spend a ton of time with any one machine.
Some that I do remember playing a decent amount of though were Robocop, Aliens, and Alien vs Predator. I didnt play many fighting games at the arcade mostly because we had most of them at home on our SNES or Genesis.
Obviously Street Fighter II in all its sundry versions. Always sucked at it, and still do, but it's one of the most fun games of the era. Obviously, whenever I saw a Neo Geo cabinet, there were always quarters for it. Could never go wrong with the Big Red Machine.
There was also the Taito Superman, which was a strangely fun little game. Hell, it might be the ONLY fun Superman game ever.
Oh I'm an old boy....so where it started with space invaders, I probably spent the most time on games like Moon Cresta, Pengo, Galaxians, Missile Command and Asteroids.

Haha, gotta love the golden oldies. I think everyone above 35 has memories jamming quarters into games like Pac-Man.
Atari made a great arcade port of Tetris I remember putting a lot of quarters into. They made an unauthorized NES port under the Tengen name - but it was still very good. I’m not entirely sure where the music came from - but Atari’s soundtracks are still used to this day - remixed.
There were a few, either at my local 7-11, or bowling alley. All of which I could eventually beat on one quarter. Needless to say, I didn't get any girls before leaving for college lol. Or ....during college.... but I digress.
Street fighter 2
Double dragon (Elbow was OP)
Willow (still a good platformer)
Fatal Fury (super easy to cheese using andy)
Art of fighting 2
@PSP107: Seriously? I did it repeatedly just trying to get "shen long" to appear, because i fell for the April fools day joke in one of the gaming magazines. Forget which one, but they posted a fake tip, saying he would come out and kill Dictator, and you would face him instead, if you could get there without losing a single round.
Besides that, every character in that game had easily abusable AI once you knew how to break it.
@warmblur: Galaga and Ms Pacman easy. As a child we had these at the local laundromat, Pole Position was also there too, but it seemed to eat quarters quicker than Ms Pacman and Galaga. We didnt have an arcade near by. The only thing close to it was Showbiz Pizza (Chuck E Cheese) and a roller-skating rink that had way more games to pick from beside Galaga and Ms Pacman.
