Well nearly 16 months went by before episode 6 came out and then, out of the blue, a new one showed up though I loved how people complained that episode 7 didn't have enough action because they decided to take some time and, you know, do some plot development.

True. Maybe within the following months we'll see an 8? I sure hope so, that series shows what SHOULD or at least COULD work if Mario and Sonic were in a REAL game together. I mean, minus the random mega man looking dudes, and the random other things that weren't from either Sonic or Mario.

Well the Megaman dudes were based on the Axem Rangers from Super Mario RPG, and if for some unknown reason, Cloud, you have not played that gold encrusted gem of RPG goodness, stop typing right now and go download it from the Virtual Consoel for 800 pts. The Axem Rangers were the final boss you fought leaving the volcano who stole the sixth star and at the time they were sort of based on the Power Rangers (a popular show in the early 90s). Of course in SMRPG they were shorter (you see the first version in Mario's thought) and for the video he gave them the Megaman X bodies which did make them look undeniably cool.

That was cute even if they kinda ripped it off from Kung Fu Panda though this was one reason I liked Unleashed in that the Sonic series finally stopped taking itself so seriously and stopped trying to be some bad anime and felt more like a Saturday morning cartoon.

But you've got to admit, it was pretty funny even if it was copied from Kung Fu Panda especially the bit when Chip got his head stuck in the pot (or is it a jar?)

While Unleashed's script was nothing to write home about, it does have a great sense of humor and slapstick and this is the way Sonic should be. No sappy hedgehog/human romance and no emo hedgehog babbling on about his past. I do hope the series at least continues this more lighthearted feel. Though I heard Black Knight actually takes itself less seriously than past games as well.
