I just bought Sonic, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 for the Genesis yesterday, let me just say that trilogy represents Sonic at his best.

I still haven't figured out how everyone was confusing Shadow for Sonic in SA2. They look nothing alike.
Only thing I can think of is a rumor I heard that they were going to use "Ashura" (Green and black Sonic seen by using a glitch is Sonic 2, I am not sure where the name came from) instead of creating Shadow.demoman_chaos

Well, every game series eventually reaches the "evil twin" story. Link has Dark Link. Samus has Dark Samus. Mario has Wario and let's face it, Wario doesn't look like Mario that much either. He's fatter, has a pink nose and wears elf shoes. Though Shadow would be mistaken for Sonic if it was dark and you were drunk. Also I think the whole idea of the GUN soilders in the games is they're supposed to represent the US Military and how everyone in it is sh-- because despite the fact that Eggman has weapons of mass destruction, they military won't go out and kick his ass. Maybe it's because he doesn't have any OIL! (he he he sorry) Then you had the inept Commander in Shadow's game who I think suffered heavily from post traumatic stress disorder or took to many kicks to the head. So that's what I think the idea of the military in the Sonic games is. Trying to make the US Military out to be dumb morons who have to rely on Sonic and his anthropomorph friends to save the day. See the Mushroom Kingdom was smart. They disbanded their military when they realized that Mario could take out an entire Koopa army on his own.

But if you thought people mistaking Sonic for Shadow was bad. In Sonic Next Gen you have Amy who proves she's as about as intellegent as a bag of rocks who mistakes Silver for Sonic. Now Silver looks nothing like Sonic and he's white so it's not like you could confuse him in the dark and then there's the fact that he doesn't run fast like Sonic or Shadow.

I believe so. It wouldn't surprise me if in the comics, she had mistaken this guy, Scourge, for Sonic. Anyone who read the comics want to confirm this?
