Yeah, it's a definite yes. I can't wait. Hopefully with almost all characters from Sonic universe (Big, Metal Sonic and Omega, your chances may be slim for 1 but there's a chance you'll appear in 2)!
Also I doubt they would kill off a core character in a game outside the "main series". Though with so many characters being introduced for this series some of them could be a possiblity.
