I like Sally better. She had some really interesting character traits in both Satam and the comics. Amy on the other hand is pretty much always an annoying character who chases Sonic around and tries to get him to date her. Sally had more important things to worry about, like leading the resistance to save Mobius. Yeah, she and Sonic did end up as a couple, but that was something that happened pretty gradually within the narrative.
Well this is hard. Amy is the sort of "love interest" of the games. She's essentially the "token chick" though the Sonic universe has added other female co-stars like Blaze and Rouge but let's face it, as female characters go, there isn't much to them, well except Blaze who is my favorite.
But Sally actually acts like a person. Now I didn't read a ton of Archie comics but from the few I've read as well as SatAM, Sally had a a lot of depth as a character. She's smart, she had to deal with personal tragedy, losing her father, finding him only to realize he couldn't come back to her world. The constant playful banter between her and Sonic. As opposed to Amy who just an annoying stalker fangirl.
Amy for me. I just don't see Sally and Sonic as a couple since I don't really care much for the comics. Amy and Sonic is my favorite Sonic pairingPiscesAnimeGirl
Why not Blaze the Cat, or that Australian stereotype? Honey the Cat was a deleted character in Sonic Fighters, why not add her to the list too? Rouge has been in many games, unlike Sally who hasn't been in any of them.
I think the intent of the question is concerning which one makes for a better romantic interest for Sonic. Given that Amy is his stalker and Sally was his girlfriend in Satam and the comics. Â
Blaze is not interested in Sonic and most of the Genesis and up days characters were pretty much universally dropped once Adventure started. The only rare exception of classic characters coming back are the Chaotix with the exception of Mighty, simply because SEGA wanted four teams even though Chaotix have the worst gameplay, and Metal Sonic because he seems to be the only foe who stays Sonic's foe.
Not counting non-canon continuities (anything outside the games), Amy is the single female character who loves Sonic. Although I think it should stay that way because Sonic's disinterest means it'll never go anywhere, and Sonic doesn't need more fangirls.
