Well, unless there's Sonic Riders 2. In which the story will be like this: Eggman hosts another race, requiring all participants to give him one Chaos Emerald, and all their chaos drives. Then when Eggman has all the Emeralds, he uses them to power his soda vending machine which betrays him, and Super Sonic must beat it.

That Eggman scheme is just crazy enough to work. They should still take out Wave, Jet and Storm and put at least some new characters in and I think they should cut the Babylonian story out and put another fresh story in.

That might be a bad idea. SEGA might put an even more stupid story into the game.
Well sega never likes to leave their sonic characters out except for mighty for some reason but anyway there is a huge possiblility that we will be seing another sonic riders games. *SPOILERS* Besides at the end of the Sonic Riders Jet said these exact words " You may be fastest for now but I'll be back Sonic the Hedgehog".
But the citations used to back up that information are official. However, they are vastly out of date, over two years old, and that's a century in this industry...
