Modern day athletes arn't any better than older ones. As for the defense, the Bears were better in my opinion because they might have let up more points than the Bucs but they dominated every aspect on defense and struck fear into the opposing team. That 46 defense was pretty powerful...

I was watching NFL Films the day of the Superbowl and the 85 Bears were a team full of savages. They enjoyed watching the opposing team in pain. At one point they were beating the Pats 44-3 in Superbowl 20. That team is probably the best defensive team. Way better than the 02 Bucs.

85' bearsisthe most feared defense of all time. I dont if people know this but Jim Mcmahon only had one good eye. When he was a kid it stabbed it with a fork. So for only having one good he was amazing.

Modern day atheletes are LEAPS AND BOUNDS ABOVE oldschool players. 100+ Pounds of more muscle and the speed is dramaticly better.
