A rematch of the 2004 sweep.
Agreed. A rematch of the 2004 WS, and will be a sweep!
Actually, i predict this one going atleast 6 games. The Cards are super tough this time around.
Me along with pretty much everyone outside of Missouri and New England have zero interest in this match-up. I mean, is there a more boring fucking team than the Cardinals? Is there a more whiny and unlikable fanbase than Boston sports fans? The fact that the decline in team quality over the last decade has made the World Series as much of a snooze-fest as the NBA Finals isn't helping either.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

For me, the most boring-ass world series was in 2003, the friggin Marlins and Yankees, good god, that was a true snooze-fest. Do the Marlins even HAVE fans? And how many more times do we have to see the Yankees go to/win the WS?
The objectively best team from both leagues are meeting in the WS this year (as it ought to be). I fail to see how that's boring.
Agreed. This year, the Red Sox, and Cardinals are definitely the best teams, and I expect the WS to go a full 7 games. It really could go either way.

I will just root for Carlos Beltran.

Yeah, that says nothing about the Cardinals as a team.

Yeah, that says nothing about the Cardinals as a team.
You're right, being one-half of a match-up that pulled in some of the worst game 1 & 2 overnight ratings in World Series history says absolutely nothing about how interesting to watch the Cardinals are as a team.

People lacking familiarity with the team =/= the team being boring.

Spin it whatever way that helps you sleep at night ace.
I guess I can't argue with this call, I truly don't believe Middlebrooks was thinking about what he was doing, but that's not the point of the rule regardless. That being said it's still a really shitty way to see what had otherwise been a fantastic game end.
While I understand that the call was correct, it is unfortunate to see such a good/important game end that way.
That being said, I'm getting tired of Middlebrooks saying that he was five feet inside the baseline. If he was five feet in, I have a three and a half foot...nevermind.

Nothing says "I don't give a shit" like continually talking about how much you don't give a shit.
That call was bullshit.
How? Had Middlebrooks not been in Craig's way, Craig would have easily made it home before the throw.
That rule is awful. For a WS game to be decided by that is just awful. Nonetheless its Boston's fault due to that awful throw to 3rd.
