Being a life-long fan I have to say the Dallas Cowboys. Barber and Jones being healthy will really help the offense, as does getting rid of T.O. I know he is a great player and all, but let hime come to your team and I think you will know what I mean.

I hope you are right TC, but I'm not so sure. Wade=waste HC with 0 success in the playoffs. I expect Dallas to make the playoffs this year though, unlike last year. Getting rid of T.O hopefully brings a more balanced attack on offense and if that happens, they'll be solid. We'll see if they can get it done when it matters finally, but I have my doubts. An early SB pick for me would be the Pats, and I hate to say it. They do have some issues on the defensive side of the ball, mainly the secondary, but their offense will be stellar once again.

Early candidates from both conferences IMO: Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, New England, San Diego(I think they're gonna bounce back big time this year) Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York Giants, Minnesota(Only if they get Favre and his arm isn't dead) I would include Tennesee but I dunno if Kerry Collins has another year like last year in him. And some teams I think will make the playoffs but maybe not win the whole thing are Atlanta, Dallas, Arizona, Carolina, New Orleans to name a few.

San Diego will represent the AFC, they'll walk through that division of their's and should compete with the Pats for homefield.

If B.J. Raji catches a whiff of his potential, Green Bay will represent the NFC.

I have to go with the pats. Brady is back, plus the aquisition of fred taylor on offense,my only concerns are defense. They have finally got younger but some of those guys are unproven or journeymen.

The Eagles had no WR's other than T.O., didn't have a beast TE and didn't have a huge offensive line with 3 good RB's. Nice try tho.

Yeah but without the pats and the steelers they would have more. They belong in the conversation. the thing that would worry me if I rooted for them (thank god I do not) is the loss of dungy.

The Pack will set a new record for sacks the day that he comes to Lambeau! At least I hope so, it would just be awesome if his old D put an end to his consecutive starts record.

I love the guy, but he's gone turncoat and I want to see him crushed by the Pack same as anyone else in our division.

That was because Jason Garett was garbage last year. He was so scared of not throwing the ball to T.O. that he wouldn't run much at all. When he did run, it was obvious. He would throw on 1st and then run on 2nd, everytime. It was horrible. Then on 3rd and short he would try to do a WR screen, I hope with T.O. gone Garett earns that paycheck cuz he was garbage last year.

I hate to break it to you, but not many players are really loyal to a team for altruistic reasons. I mean really, they'd play for anyone. It isn't as if he's a local boy or anything. Also Isn't the Packers issue defense? And MN's O-Line is relatively strong (except for that spot on the right that might be filled).

You may be right. It had to hurt to see Dallas go down after those first couple out of this world games last season. Honestly, I saw them make the Browns look like peewee league in the first game and believed they would win it all.

Really? *slowly scratching side of head with one index finger*

Seriously though, the Vikings have never really had anyone leave the team that was worth getting a bit upset about. Favre was all about emotion and so are the mass of Packer fans, so forgive us a bit of disappointment in his manipulation of the system.

D was our problem last year no doubt, but the new formation and Thompson's willingness to draft the players that Dom Capers wanted not to mention the healthy return of Cullen Jenkins should help us field a much improved unit this season. The Packers will undoubtedly compete for the division title.

Why do people care about this so much? The pack pretty much pushed him out anyway so be mad at them not him for wanting to play. Seriously, what was he supposed to do? He still wanted to play and the Pack made it clear they didn't want him....I don't buy that my team or retire feeling. Favre did no wrong.

Coming from an Eagles fan (I would love to see them in the Super Bowl), I would love it even more if the Lions made it. Hear me out here, they went 0-16, the worst record since the early Tampa Bay Bucks (no offence to Buck fans, it's the truth). If they made it to the Super Bowl this year with a rookie QB under centre, and even more ridiculous, went 18-0 (Patriot Style) to get there, it would be a bigger Cinderella story than the Giants Vs. New England Helmet Catching game.

But one can dream, and that's all IMO. But yeah, if it was even remotely possible, Dallas Vs. Eagles in a Superbowl...:P Admit it Dallas fans, you would love it!

You are totally wrong actually. March of 2008 Brett says he's done. The Pack draft with the intent of building a roster to complement Aaron Rodgers. In May Brett starts to waffle, McCarthy and Thompson begin to think he's serious and try to meet with him in June. After a date is arranged Brett calls them and says to forget it, he is definitely done. Come July, he wants back in, after 4 months of being strung along Thompson and McCarthy welcome him back to compete for the job which he does. After a few days of camp the Jets make an offer and the Packers take it. "Pushed out", is complete BS.

None of this even takes into account Brett's clear disregard for anyone but himself. Legally he did no wrong, he just manipulated the whole situation to get to the Vikings this year, and that's his game, but spitting in the face of the organization and fans that have been loyal to him since 1992 certainly isn't the "right" way to end a career.

I am curious to see if he is booed when he takes the field at Lambeau this year.

No reason why the New England Patriots shouldn't be favorites. With Tom Brady back and a slightly younger defense, i expect big things from Belichick and company!

Dallas is the third best team in the NFC East, homer. Not saying they cant just saying that they wont.

Super bowl will be New England (baring an injury to Brady) and Philadelphia.

What about all the people that picked their team to win? Oh I get it, it is Dallas so you feel obligated to talk s***. Good. That's how I like it. Just make sure you are here when Dallas whoops the Broncos. Kyle Orton for Cutler

No I'm saying this because I dont think they have what it takes to win it all.

Are you serious dude. I guess you don't realize that Brad Johnson started 3 or 4 games last year, Marion Barber and Felix Jones were hurt, shoot, 2 years ago when everyone was healthy they went 13-3 and only lost to the eventual champions.
