He starts his season by padding stats with a 2-run homer when the game is already over.He struck out in a meaningful at bat early in the game, though.I seriously can't stand him anymore, I hope the fans run him out of New York.

Am I missing something here? Are you criticizing him for hitting a home run?

yes he is. He is complaining that he hit a HR while the team is in the lead. People find way to try and screw over a player

How about his hit and stolen base that created the go-ahead run?, sit back, admire A-Rod and STFU.

A-Rod is a overrated crybaby."Wah I wanna be loved by fans or I'm leaving".He chokes in the clutch so get over yourself.

I agree that he is overrated and overpaid, but he is overscrutinized as well. I really doubt that Torre was chewing him out after he hit that one out of the park...

I agree completely. That early strikout was huge. He never delivers in the clutch.

Guys you gotta remember when you are paying someone 25 mil per season his job is to hit a home run every time his team is losing,he's supposed to catch absolutly every single ball thats hit and lead a team single handedly to the world series.... /end sarcarsm

It must be boring to have nothing better to do than bash one of the best players the MLB has ever seen. Manny Ramirez was 0/4 against the damn ROYALS yesterday. So pipe down.

2/4, 2 Runs, 1 Home Run, 2 RBI, 1 Stolen Base is hardly a bad day at the office.

Overrated? Hardly, he's one of the best 3B out there and you are critcizing him for hitting a home run? So what he's not clutch, it still doesn't change the fact that he is one of the best hitters MLB ever had. So quit talking and making yourself look stupid...

He can hit meaningless homeruns til hes blue in the face and it doesn't mean anything, you need to be clutch if you want to truly be remembered one day.

I despise the Yankees, but that didn't stop me from taking A-Rod as my first rounder on my fantasy team with the 6th pick. So pad those stats Alex, pad away. The PuddleMonkeys are going all the way this year!

You can't criticize A-Rod for hitting a homerun just because his team was in the lead. Baseball is the only sport where literally no lead can be considered safe because of the rules. And according to everyone else in this thread he still had a good game. As for A-Rod being overpaid, compared to other pro sports everyone in baseball is overpaid.

He will be remembered. He will have godly stats by the end of his career and make HOF. I really don't know what more you can do to be remembered than making the HOF.

yes very godly stats A-Rod has like 58 more HR ahead of Hank Arron at his age, i highly doubt all of Arron's HR were all meaningful.
