The guy has won the award every other year dating back to 2003...

2007Alex Rodriguez, N.Y. Yankees 2006Justin Morneau, Minnesota 2005Alex Rodriguez, N.Y. Yankees 2004Vladimir Guerrero, Anaheim 2003Alex Rodriguez, Texas

So I am thinking that next year he will win it...obviously this is a coiencedence. However if your a yankee fan you might like this.

I think somebody from the Rays will win. The Yankees haven't shown me much over the past 3 years. The Rays have a majority of talent throughout their lineup, with all potential MVP's. Im not a Rays fan.

A-Rod is the best all-around player in the American League and arguably in all of baseball. So he certainly has a shot if he stays healthy. I think it depends on how the Yankees handle this offseason. A couple of big moves are necessary if the Yankees want to get back into the postseason next October. Perhaps signing Sabathia which seems unlikely right now or trading for Peavy would help a lot. Having an ace to insert in front of Chien Ming Wang would help immensely. The Yanks are a team with quite a few flaws that need to be fixed in this critical offseason, and I think A-Rod's chances of winning the MVP depends entirely on whether or not they make it to October.

i guess with that logic the Spurs are going to win the NBA title this year. Since they won in 03, 05 and 07 it would only make sense they win in 09 right?
