im sure most of you are aware of the new football game being made by natural motion and rockstar....but i was wondering if anyone knew if it is supposed to come out this year? i know the release date is still TBA but i didnt know if anyone heard knew that it was atleast coming out this year

Although they haven't set an official date, all of the articles I read from E3 about it said they are releasing it this year. So expect it in the coming months! I can't wait!

When EA Sports' exclusive NFL deal is up at the end of the 2012 season (after Super Bowl champ is crowned in January of 2013) does that mean that unless that contract is renewed, other games such as Backbreaker can again use the NFL teams and players?

IGN had a 'Hands on' from E3 article on 'Backbreaker' with some new gameplay footage. I'm not sure about the release date... but I thought they said late 2009... but it didn't seem like the game was far enough along for an 09 release. I don't think we'll see this game rushed out whatsoever. The 2 questions I have about Backbreaker is... While that low camera behind the ball carrier looks cool and shows some killer tackles.... will that camera from behind the players bunghole actually be a good playable view for us to control the ball carrier from? Question 2 is pretty much the same thing wondering how the passing game will play from that camera view. Hopefully there's an option to start out a play from a panned camera view... and then it zooms in once a pass is completed or the RB takes the handoff. Bottom line.... I want this game to be PLAYABLE... not just be a gimmick with a cool engine that puts you in the middle of the action and has great tackles etc.... but in the end is not that playable of a game.
