If the coyotes move the Ontario then there could be some more moves.

Move the Panthers to Seattle, the panthers get like 14000 fans in a playoff race and in Seattle they can wear green and yellow again. This way the lightning will become more popular.

Move teams to portland,winnipeg,or quebec.

If there is still some doubt 2 teams should be cut, for 14 in each confrence.

And get Bettman other there the TV contracs are terrible.

Pardon? You never shrink a league, the panthers are fine where they are and Quebec already has a team. winnipeg had a team and it failed and Portland isn't really a hockey city. The only agreement is the tv contracts.

Yup, it all comes out to the dollar. I don't know what people were thinking when they moved the Jets to Phoenix. That was destined to fail and I can't believe people didn't see that coming. I wonder if a team in Wisconsin would do, like Milwaukee. Thoughts on that? I also wish the politicians on Long Island would just let the Isles build a new arena. Moving to Kansas City may be good for a rivalries with Dallas and St. Louis but can it survive there?

Balsillie though needs to just go away, I'm pretty sure the Sabres and Leafs will have to approve another for another team in Southern Ontario and I highly doubt they'll let that happen.

Quebec has no team. Montreal isn't "Quebec", Montreal is barely 50% french. A team in Quebec City would be great, as it would be in Winnipeg or even Halifax.

Ummmm..,Montreal is in Quebec. Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Canadiens control that whole area almost. And:lol: at the barely 50% French part, as of 2006 70.5% spoke French at home there. With 3.2 million people one team is plenty and Winnipeg Mantoba alreadly had a team and it failed, also Halifax Nova Scotia has 360k people, NHL needs a larger market.

Bring a team to Wisconsin. Hockey is popular here with the college teams excelling and already have a minor league team in milwaukee.

Atlanta had a team that failed at one time too...I don't see why a team in Winnipeg would fail again. They have a better arena than the previous one, and I'm sure whatever mistakes were made that caused the Jets to move will be corrected.

I agree with your point, but Atlanta is a terrible example. Them and Nashville maybe next to move after the Coyotes.

Can we move the Wild out of their stupid division? I suppose it would be too much to ask to get them back to where they played Chicago like back when the Northstars did but there is zero rivalry with anyone.

Atlanta is a bad example, Hockey wasn't popular enough in most regions of the US to warrant too many teams. As Hockey became more popular Atlanta became viable, it was a popularity issue not an economic one. Winnipeg was purely economic and you would have to go into detail of what happened there before you just assume something. Seriously, LA is a large city but I wouldn't give it an NFL team because it had 3 teams that have all failed and the people have a long history of not supporting the teams. Size isn't as important as people think, to study it maybe a preseason game in Winnipeg would be a good idea, see the demand and people willing to pay.

Move as many teams as possible to Canada. I can guarantee that arenas in the remotest places would sell out.

HONOLULU! Think about it! Huge Hawaiian/Samoan guys playing hockey. One of them a goalie, Honulu 47 shots on goal. Opposing team, ZERO.

Actually I have relatives in Montana and they're big hockey fans. Then again a team wouldn't make a difference as the root for the Pens...

Thats great, but can Billings, Montana (biggest city in the state) support a franchise? Thats the question.

They need to make some changes. Why Detroit is in the West just baffles me. They can move Florida to make room in the East.

I wish the NHL would pay respect to its past by renaming the Divisions and Conferences again to their old names. I know that won't happen though :(

I'm afraid the Devils might be in trouble, as they don't exactly have the biggest fanbase. Especially since they're smack-dab between two older teams (Flyers and Rangers) and they just had a new arena built a couple years ago. They probably have a bigger fanbase than Phoenix, but still...

I think if any team in that area is in trouble, it's the Islanders.

I was hoping the Devils would build their new arena further down the state...

Bettman should move the leafs to LAS VEGAS $$$$

The canadiens to kansas city

Edmonton(too cold) to seattle-they lost a team.

Move ottawa(boring) to a market like china with a huge population.

The NHL will become much richer I can smell the money right now.

Hamilton, Ontario wants the Pred Franchise. Unfortunately they are still in Nashville, which is definitely not a hockey town. Here's hoping the owner gets wise.
