Although Ben Wallace retired 3 years ago, he officially announced it. He went downhill pretty fast eh?

He knows LeBron will most likely jumpship to another team soon. Why stay in cleveland when you know that after next season they will be the worst team in the NBA?

If I were him I would play the one last year, get my $14 million, and see if the Cavs win it all next year. But if he stops now at least he has one Championship ring, a crap load of money, and will be known as one of the best defenders of his generation. Not a bad way to go out.

I didn't think Ben would retire already, but it would be pretty sad. He has always been a great defender in the NBA, especially with the Pistons.

I thought he was awesome in Detroit, but he wasn't even a starter in Cleveland. It feels early for him but it seems like the right time.

im a clevlend fan but im not one of those i like clevland because of james kind of fan but even though ben dosent do much he has his part on the team and thats a los that clevland will suffer losing and if james does jump ship they wont be the worst team in the nba they could never take that from the raptors plus mo williams delonte west ilguskis (how ever you spell his name) can help lead this team and if gibson is on fire he is on fire wallie serbiak has the age to help take controll (but james isnt leaving so wont happen)

You mean the Clippers, not the Raptors. Anyways, Ben Wallace has been one of my favorite players because he is one of the few great players who are about defense (also love Chris Paul). It'll be sad to see him retire, and I don't see Lebron leaving the Cavs for at LEAST another year or two.

Bet he wish he would of stayed with the detroit ballers instead of going for the littlebit of extra $$ in Chicago. Oh well, I still have his pistons jersey and I'm still proud to ware it.

It's the right time. His skills, production, and health have declined ever since he left the Pistons. He had a great career and he has a ring and millions to show for it. No use hanging around, especially if he gets a buyout. With that said, I want to thank him for the memories and wish him the best of luck in wherever life takes him.

Injuries have really gotten to him in recent years. It's sad really, when he was in his prime, he was a great defender.
