The Lions win something this season, the best quote

Marinelli was repeatedly asked about the job done by defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who is his son-in-law. It's a relationship that infuriates fans: cronyism killing the team. Marinelli wouldn't specifically blame Barry. This was on the head coach first.

Finally Detroit News columnist Rob Parker laid it out.

"Do you wish your daughter had married a better defensive coordinator?"

The best quote I have heard is the infamous "I didn't even know an NFL game could end in tie. I hate to see what would happen in the playoffs or Superbowl". Nice one McNabb. I bet your head coach and teammates are proud of their QB not knowing the rules. Now I understand why his is not loved in Philly. It is nice that other NFL players came out and said other player may not know the rule either.

:oWow! But this is really nothing new. Parker has been baiting Marinelli so that he can go off on some Mike Ditka/Jim Mora type-rant/sound byte for about 6 weeks now. I'm not saying it was cheap, but I think it was kinda lame. Especially when you put the guy's daughter in the joke.

I love this one too. It just shows McNabb doesn't pay attention to anything. He obviously doesn't remember that playoff game between Carolina and the Rams five years ago, which went into DOUBLE overtime because no one scored in the first overtime. There goes his theory about playoff ties. Even funnier is that Carolina ended up winning that game and then beat McNabb and his Eagles in the next round to reach the Super Bowl.

Gotta tell you man, I'm rooting for the Panthers since my skins are out. That DeAngelo williams is gonna win me $625.00 in fantasy super bowl.

I also liked "Can't play with him, can't win with him, can't coach with him, can't do it". Thanks Mike Singletary. When he sent Vernan Davis for an early shower. It was not really in what he said but I liked his delivery.

A lot of those are very technical and excusable. But theres no excuse for McNabb not knowing there can be a tie. There was one a few years back, Falcons Steelers I believe, DURING his career

2 players thought a playoff game after the first OT was decided by a coin flip:|

Brett Favre" I have doubts on returning next season "

I'm waiting for him to cry, then for him to call up 4 months later and cry he wants back in and is forgotten about and demand a trade.
