Montana to Rice = G.O.A.T to G.O.A.TRenegade_Fury
This is the correct answer. Unlike the Brady/Moss tandem they finished the job and won titles. Dave Krieg, the all-time NFL leader in fumbles? Mentioned in the same sentence as Joe Montana? I think not.

Correct. To answer anything other than Montana to Rice should be construed as ignorant.. While brady to moss set records last season, that is only 1 season and not ALL TIME. While Brady to moss was great last year, Montana to Rice shredded defenses for years on end![QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]Montana to Rice = G.O.A.T to G.O.A.TDarkElf2112

Dave Krieg ranks 15th in most passing catagories. Steve Laregnt held most recieving records before Jerry Rice came along. That sounds like a solid combination to me.[QUOTE="DarkElf2112"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]Montana to Rice = G.O.A.T to G.O.A.Tkcohen82

The numbers speak for themselves...
[QUOTE="wornstar"]Defenitely Mantana to Rice! the San Francisco treat. Brady/Moss? How can that qualify as "Best in History" when they have only had one year together?jharv
Because they broke NFL records in that first year.
But its history overall, not best in one season.

Because they broke NFL records in that first year.
That's because they played against inferior competition (I say this because of salary cap there are far fewer juggernaut teams out there, and the game has become far more pass friendly in general), played every game, and all while running up the score. Peyton Manning would have still had the TD record if he went all out for 16 games too. As for Moss's TD record, Rice made that record in a 12 game season due to the strike. Also let's not forget the two SBs Montana and Rice won together, as well as the records and clutch moments they shared together during those playoff runs and throughought their careers. I could go on, but you get the idea. Brady and Moss are going to have play lights out for the remainder of their careers if they're going to take the mantle from these legends.

15th best QB in NFL history isn't something to take lightly, and when you pair it up with one of the best recievers who has ever played, you have a great matchup. I think Young/Montana and Rice was the best combitnation, but I was trying to think of a couple runner ups.Montana to Rice
Young to Rice
Manning to Harrison
mrgab
This man speaks the truth! Those two with Rice were both AMAZING and now you have Manning to Harrison which holds all the records for a tandem. Bravo mrgab, bravo!
Cassel and Moss.
haha jk i will agree with pretty much everyone and say Montana to Rice, it just never got old.
