Simple. My guess is either the Indians or the San Diego Padres.

i think the reds are gonna actually play well until the end of the season this year. They lead the NL central almost every year but then fall out of contention.

I'm gonna say the Atlanta Braves. Most people are talking about the Mets or the Phillies in the NL East, but I think the Braves will rebound after their bad year last year. Look for a big year out of Francoeur, the Jones', and McCann in terms of offense. Smoltz will be good as usual, Tim Hudson is the key to my prediction here. If he returns to his old form, than I definitely think they'll be the biggest surprise team. They also have the young guy Chuck James who did pretty good last year. They fixed the weak bullpen and now have Wickman, Soriano, Gonzalez, and McBride is pretty good too. I can already see it now, 2 months from now they'll be talking about it on sportcenter and how people shouldn't have counted out the Braves.

i'll say the orioles. it will hurt them that they are in the same division as the yanks, sox, and jays, but another year under leo mazzone will help all those young arms namely bedard and cabrera.

 Though I'm Brave's fan, I really think they have a shot too. They fixed their main issue from last season, their bullpen, so I look for them to have a solid season.

Not sure Padres and Phillies are really surprise teams, as they are both predicted to do well. Now if they do badly, then that would be a surprise.
