So the coach is coming out of retirement. Who's going to snatch him up? How much time do give him to turn a team around and start winning.

Fire Caldwell and hire him in Indy. He win a title or 2 there. Maybe fire Childress in Minny. But I heard Tampa was going after him.MoonMarvel
i hope your kidding
id like to see the bucs get him
Bunch of NFC teams, what about the AFC? Raiders, Browns, Bills, Jags could all probably use him, though I think the former two are the strongest possibilities. All the NFC teams looking for a coach seem like a stretch to me as it would probably require a complete change in direction on defense, although Tampa's already started to go that route, so I guess I would be least surprised by them.

The Raiders, Bills, and Browns arent that enticing. He'd probably want a team that has something to build upon, with a good owner. IMO. Tampa could be a good fit for him, even the Redskins, if Snyder decides to let his GM do his job. [QUOTE="theone86"]Bunch of NFC teams, what about the AFC? I'd agree with the Raiders, Al Davis can be a handful. This team is far from unenticing, though. They have some awesome players on D, Richard Seymour, Nnambi Asamougah, and their offense is heating up. Their running game has finally caught on and their QB's are doing better since Russel went out. THeir top priority should be to bring their young receivers along and keeping good new players at key positions, which Al Davis hasn't been historically great at. Yeah, Davis prolly nixes this one.
Holmgren is the Brown's president, not coach. Maybe that means he doesn't want another big personality like Cowher, but it could also mean he wants the best man for the job. I disagree that they have no talent, though. Brady Quinn and their young backs are heating up, they have an awesome special teams, around the best in the league, they need a boost on defense, which is Cowher's specialty. Then again, they have Buddy Ryan's kid running the D. THey might not even need Cowher to bounce back, they have a lot of young kids with potential, they just need to supplement what they have, and they have some good, early draft picks.
Bills have some good players too. They're one of the best pass D's in the league, they have a couple of good backs and TOat receiver. The rest of their receivers suck, though, they need a QB, and their O-line is crap. Beefing up their run D couldn't hurt either. Cowher could help on all of that, though, and seeing as how the best part of their D is their secondary the switch to a 3-4 might not be that bad. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him land in Buffalo.

I looked at the Bills roster on NFL.com, I dont see anybody named Moss on that team.I'd hire him. [QUOTE="MoonMarvel"] Maybe fire Childress in Minny. duxupThey gave him a contract extension this year so that seems unlikely. After this 1-3 and soon to be 1-4 finish that extension may not be a sure thing.
I'd love to see him in Chicago. Just sayin.
I know Lovie is supposed to return next year and that win on Monday was huge, but I'd like to see a firey, aggressive guy like Coher running the show over too much Lovie.

[QUOTE="CopenhagenMan"]I'd like to see cowher go to either Chicago, KC, or Tampa.duxupI'm thinking if given the chance he'd go someplace with a better chance of winning.
Chicago and Tampa can definitely win if they get thigns going their way. They're both on the cusp, they have good players, they beat good teams this season, they just need to get some more good players at a couple of positions where they're weak and coach out some of their problems. KC also has some very good players, if they stay healthy they can compete within a season or two. I think they're a step behind Chicago and Tampa, but Todd Haley might surprise in his second year. Again, they did have some wins over quality teams this season.

Chicago just drained itself of draft picks and has an ownership that doesn't care if they win or loose...Well we don't have a first or second rounder this upcoming draft, but we picked up Jarron Gilbert, someone who's pegged to be a starter at some point, and Juaqin Iglesias, who is a big unkown because the idiot in charge of the offense hasn't given him any reps, in the third;DJ Moore and Henry Melton, two more unknowns who haven't played, in the fourth; Johnny Knox in the fifth and Al afalava in the sixth, both starters this season. Missing those picks isn't a horrible thing, especially if the players we got for them pan out. Cutler showed whta he's capable of, if he can get some consistency and cut down on turnovers he'll be worth the picks, and if Gaines Adams pans out he'll be worth the pick as well. There's a lot of potential on the team, all our receivers are I think under five years in the league, we have some youth on the defensive line, Mark Anderson finally showed up vs. the Vikings and showed he can play, we have some young players with potential in the secondary, we have a back and a quarterback that, if they play to potential can be a deadly combination, not to mention a couple of good young backs in Bell and Wolfe, our left tackle of the future finally came out and played and the rest of the O-lin woke up against Minnesota, we have a couple of awesome tight ends, and our special teams is finally getting back to where it's supposed to be. I don't think the biggest problem in Chicago is the players, I think it's the coaching. These players have all shown flashes here and there, it's up to good coaches to take that and create consistency. If we can get consistency we can definitely be in a position to compete.
