The way Baron Davis and Chris Kaman are playing, the Clippers should be fine. I don't think Blake Girffin looks that good anyway: he was the best player of an unimpressive draft class at the time, although I think this class has been better than expected.

I think it was a good decision as well. No need to try to jump back onto the court early, just start fresh next year. Oden 2.0, hopefully more impressive though, lol
