[QUOTE="BeanTownBrown86"]ill give you guys the run down,
first al jefferson will not be an epic superstar, he'll be a great player but theres no way he'll be anything close to what garnett was to the timberwolves
yes they might be getting up there in age but they have at least 3 years of good play
their bench isnt as bad as everyone thinks or thought
i dont think they will get to the finals this year, if they do thats just a crazy bonus to what i thought they could do, realistically i see them getting to the finals next year
the east is weak yes, but it has improved like crazy, its no where near the west in terms of talent but it is a lot more interesting than it previously was, pistons, celtics, wizards ( when they get arenas back) magic(?) and toronto will all be in the hunt as obvious
if any of those teams were to win the east i think it would have to come down to the pistons and celtics, if the celtics were to pick up a pure back up point guard they could take the east with ease

There are very few players in NFL (NBA) history who are as great as Garnett. Jefferson may not be that, but he'll be a perennial all star who the franchise will build around. He's a legitimate big man superstar.
I agree, Jefferson is unstoppable on the block already at 23 and I love his attitude towards the game but average defense will keep him from being an MVP caliber big in the league. Still a multiple time allstar, but you have to give to get a superior talent like KG. You don't pass up on a once in a lifetime player like Garnett and a 3-4 year window as contenders, even as his skills decline after that window he's going to do what he does out there and be a leader.
These Celts are nothing like the Patriots. They are a likeable team, only one player has a ring, they win because of great defense, half the team is new this season and they were the laughing stock of the NBA last year. The only thing they have in common with them is they're undefeated (16-0) against the Western Conference, including a very nice win today against the Spurs (without KG, might I add).
