I think this was a smart move. Vick has been playing great, players like him, no need in switching things up when that happens. The Michael Vick experience appears to be back.

Does anyone feel Mcnabb had a feeling this was going years ago when he wanted Vick on the Eagles. Very happy for Vick. Hope he plays well and makes the Haters hate him more. Eagles top must be eating there shoes as they now have Kolb on some crazy price being in the same shoes he was when Mcnabb was QB lol. I wish I was in Kolbs shoes. Couple late game plays while backup for Mcnabb, very few starts, concussion, and millions in the pocket while getting to sit on the bench. WIN WIN for both men lol. GO Vick (From a Saints fan).

They have this guy slated to be the future, then demote him after one half and a concussion? Wow.

The Eagles Organization is just...confusing. Trade away McNabb, give the reigns to Kolb who didn't earn the right to start, play him, then pull the starting job away from him, and give the job to Vick.

He's a thug and doesn't belong on any team. He should still be in prison.

I'm not surprised but I would like to see him play against a great defense that is well prepared for him.

Andy Reid's on the hot seat. He has to play the guy who gives them a better chance to win now, not the guy who might turn out to be a great QB in the future.

Good. When he sucks because he actually plays a good team (prob not this week....) I'll be there with a grin.

If he proves me wrong, good for him.

If that was the case, they would have stuck with McNabb, who clearly gives them the best chance to win.

This is very surprising. I think that Kolb deserves another shot. One bad half shouldn't change a whole organizations plans. With that said, Vick has played great but wait until he plays a good defense that prepares for him. He'll look bad, and Kolb will be back in. Good for Vick though. I think the the whole "road to redemption" thing is formulating before our eyes. I'm rooting for the guy. GO FALCONS!!

Before anyone states that Kolb shouldn't have lost the starting job because of injury, look no further then Tom Brady and Big Ben. Those two have combined to win half superbowls between 2000-2010 and both got the starting job because the starter got injured.

Hypothetical question. If the Eagles somehow manage to win the Super Bowl, and Vick is named MVP of the Superbowl, anyone think he isn't going to be the person who says "I'm going to Disney World!?"

That's true, however, that doesn't negate the fact that his amazing rookie season should never have happened. He won the job that year, and gained experience for it, because of an injury to the #1 and #2 QB.

It was a no brainer. In the words of Herm Edwards---"You play to win the game!" At this point, between Kolb and Vick, Vick seems to have this team running better.

Doesnt bring back those animals he killed. And yes, their deaths are his fault and dogs are living creatures too. You wouldnt want him playing if it was a human he killed would you?

No I wouldn't, but Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little are still playing, aren't they? I'm an animal lover. I love dogs and the way Vick treated them sickened me. But the man has paid his debt. He lost everything he had, he went to prison, and by all accounts that part of his life is done. Go Mike Vick. He deserved to be starting. I'm glad Reid realized that Kolb sucked and we traded McNabb for no reason.

Doesnt mean its right, and what they did was different as neither case was intentional, what Vick did was. You need to understand it is not easy to just let cases of murder for pleasure go. Not everybody can say, eh...dead dogs so what and move on. All I see is the loss of innocent life, something that cant be undone. Vick fans have no right to attack anybody who holds that against him, its not something silly like naked pictures or anything, its innocent animals dying for the sake of fun. I didnt say you attacked me, as you didnt, but some Vick fans do..Which I find sad because of what happened.

McNabb got traded because after 5 chances he failed to lead a talented team to a title. Philly is a tough sports town, they dont put up with failure for long.

Michael Vick the person and Michael Vick the football player are two different things. Nobody is calling him a good person. He is remorseful for what he did and he was punished for it. That doesn't erase what he did, no. But really, what gives you the right to judge him? Are you ignorant enough to believe that no man is capable of repenting and changing the person that they are? All human beings are capable of that. That isn't to say he has or he hasn't actually repenting and turned himself around. Because I don't know if he did. And neither do you. My feeling is Michael Vick the football player has the potential to become great and he's playing well right now. They are riding the hot hand and we'll have to see how good he plays in the coming weeks. So yeah, you can hate him for what he did. It doesn't mean Vick the football player doesn't deserve a second chance, as all people do. I neither like nor dislike Michael Vick. I don't know who he is and how he's changed over the years. So I have nothing to go off of for hating the man. Hating what he did and hating him are two different things. Also McNabb didn't fail anything. How many Super Bowls have the Eagles won? NONE. McNabb took them to 5 NFC Championship games and one of their TWO Super Bowl appearances. Where they lost by 3 points. The Eagles were never more successful than when McNabb was there. That can't be disputed because of his postseason success as well as the games he wins every year. The fact is Eagles fans didn't like McNabb from the moment he was drafted. They booed him on draft day. They showed nothing by disrespect to their QB for 10 years and he's responded only with NFC Championship games, division titles and a Super Bowl appearance. The Eagles have been a dangerous team for the past 10 years because of McNabb. And he did with a team whose top receivers included Todd Pinkston and James Thrash. Philly never deserved a QB like McNabb and I'm happy he's out of there. He was stuck in that west coast system and now he's free to stretch the field, which he showcased last week with a 400 yard game.

Very smart move by the Eagles. I know Kolb hasn't gotten to play too much, but it is glaringly obvious that Vick is the better QB right now. He is playing some of the best football around right now and gives the Eagles the best chance to win. Like someone mentioned, he looks like a young McNabb, except with a 4.3 40 speed. I think the Eagles are going to go far this year with Vick.

Totally agree with frostybanana on this one in all of what you said. On Vick specifically, you also have to realize that what he did was something that is more common place than people realize. I'm not trying to say that means it's right or okay, I'm just saying that when you grow up around it and it's shown to be a normal thing to you, it's hard to not start that up as well. I look at the fact that Vick did his time and has done nothing to make me (or anyone else) think that he hasn't put that behind him and hasn't changed as a person in that respect. You can still dislike him for what he did, that's only fair, but he deserves every right to have a second chance at football and at his life.

The Eagles Organization is just...confusing. Trade away McNabb, give the reigns to Kolb who didn't earn the right to start, play him, then pull the starting job away from him, and give the job to Vick.

Being an Eagle fan is hard.:(

Are you an eagles fan. I am and its not difficult. I would assume being a bills fan was when they went to and lost four straight superbowls.

I am an Eagle fan. Yeah it was tough for the Bills back then...but in the early 00's, the Eagles were on the brink of something great. Now look what has happened! I know we should be greatful to going from cellar dwellars to title contenders, and we are. It's just that this team has heaps of potential, and the Front Office has made so many...questionable movies in the past few years.
