I found on Sherdog.com, that someone found a source that May 23rd will most likely be the super fight between Mir and Lesnar. This will most likely be UFC 98 and could also feature the long awaited bout between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra. This is not official yet, but most likely this will be the final date for this fight.

sounds reasonable, enough time for the fighters to rest and train and for the UFC to focus on the other divisions. but the hughes/serra fight doesn't really interest meas much. too much time has gone by and both fighters aren't really at the top of the ladder

That really isn't that long for a fight this big, hopefully it is true.

Cool, maybe after Fedor dismantles Arlovski Dan can bring him in to kill either of these guys.

The Hughes/Serra fight is not as meaningful as last year, but still exciting.

Man Mir looked beastly vs Nog, but Lesnar has learned so much since their first fight. Ill be rooting for Mir but I don't think he can beat Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar is by far the strongest UFC heavy weight fighter and he's more experienced now then his last fight with Mir (in which he was killing him before the rookie mistake) so I can't see Mir standing a chance.

well, Mir is better cardio wise, better submission wise, and has years of experience in the octagon. He's coming off of a win in a match nobody thought he would win. and he's got his career back on track. A guy like that is going to be very hard to beat. Im saying right now Mir, Submission, 2nd round

Mir's cardio is still a mystery. He looked great against Nog, but when your fighting a guy 30-40 pounds heavier than you, it will tire you out faster. Plus, Mir has never had a long fight in his career.

true, but Lesnar's first MMA fight and first UFC fight both ended too early for cardio to be a factor, and his match with Herring had him pinning him down the majority of the time. Couture made Lesnar work for the win, and that showed cause he was breathing heavily at the end of the first round. 40 extra pounds may increase strength, but you need to take in a lot more air then to keep every part of your body running at 100%

Meh, size difference won't be that big. Maybe only like twenty pounds. Lesnar just has to stay on top to avoid the RNC, watch the guillotine, and stay calm and collected on top, watching his arms and Mir's attempts at wrist control, etc. Let's face it, while Mir may have submitted Lesnar eventually the first time, that leglock never would have happened had it not been that nonsense stand-up and point loss....after one strike to the back of the head......which Mir, on the replay, obviously turned into. Hell, if it wasn't for that stand-up, Lesnar may have finished it right there. While I'm still saddened over Nogueira's loss, this is a rematch that needed to happen.

Sounds really fast for a fight this big, but then again Lesnar devoured Coture and Mir was a beast when he fought Nogera so maybe I certainly hope so.... I'll have to give this one to Mir 2nd round submission no doubt
