Buck Get:SF-Richard Jefferson

New Jersey Gets:SF-Bobby Simmons,PF/C-Yi Jilian

No Picks were swaped.

Personally i hate this trade since im a Nets fan and i started following the Nets RJ's first year and he has been my favorite player to this day. Only reason i see the Nets doing this trade is to clear cap space for Lebron or Wade in 2010 and/or to Draft Alexander or someone different who is available seeing how the Bucks may have been looking for a SF but wont need one anymore.

Yi sure didn't stay long did he? But I figured Jefferson would eventually be traded off since all their other players have been leaving, and they aren't even close to being championship contenders again. Thats too bad cause they had a good thing going there for a while.

I'm a Nets fan and... I wasn't a big fan of RJ nor this trade. Oh well, I wanna see some adjustments to the roster off-season. I don't know if getting Yi was a good idea. With the right choices, Nets can work something out I hope.

it's an ok trade. bucks really benefited from this more though. the good thing for nets though is they clear up some cap space so they can try and land lebron when his contract expires

The Nets seem content on trying to destroy themselves

The idea that they can LeBron is ridiculous. If it's between the Knicks and Knick Jr LeBron is going to pick the Knicks.

So what the Nets are going to do is put an awful product on the floor the next two seasons hoping to get a player they can never have. While that's going on they're going to make such a bad team that they wont be able to take that money and use it for any other top tier free agents because no one is going to want to come in and be expected to fix it all.

For you nets fans, Kidd, RJ and Carter have not done anything since they have played together so this a good move for cap space and young decent players. Now Carter needs to be traded since he doesnt try anymore. Who knows the Nets might have a good young team coming this year. Still have a the draft to look forward to and who knows what they might get by trading Carter. Thing are looking good for the Nets.

Lebron has more of a chance of being a Net then a Knick. His friendship is Jay-Z is no joke

Great trade for the Bucks IMO. Also, I may be the only person, but I really don't think Carter is good. I feel like he shoots way too much and most of the shots are bad ones. Not a great decision maker either.

Nets weren't going anywhere with RJ so at least they get some cap room. Yi still might become decent, even though I'm not a fan. I would think they could've gotten more but whatever, this means easy wins for the Raps next season.

Nets haven't been going anywhere for a while now and couldn't pull it off when they had all the pieces in nearly their prime or just beyond it, so they did a great job of getting young literally overnight. Might not be super competitive team right away but in the east that's ok. They got young energetic guys that will be willing to play and play hard.

The nets look like they are going to have a nice future with a nice group of young players with this trade and after the draft. I think they got a steal in round 2 with Chris Douglas-Roberts , that dude can flat out ball.

C- Lopez

PF- Krstic

SF- Jianlian

SG- Carter (if trade, someone okay)

PG- Harris

Sean Boone, Douglas-Roberts, Marcus coming off the bench.

That starting lineup is oozing with potential. They're banking on the future.

wow thats not gonna happen. First Yi will not play the SF position if anything Carter will be moved to the SF position and CDR will play the 2 or even Devin Harris. Also its Josh Boone

CDR will play the 2, but no way he starts. They didn't trade Richard Jefferson for Yi for him to sit on the bench. He was the 7th overall pick and has mind-blowing athleticism and shooting touch for a 6'11" guy. His natural position is SF since he's too thin to play inside. He'll start at SF next season for the Nets, I'll bet.

he will play that PF position. He is too slow to play the 3. there may be an occasion in the middle of the game that he will play the 3 for a little while to give someone a break but that is all.

I think you said the key. "Yi sure didn't stay long". Remember his agent told the Bucks not to draft him because he wanted to be in a bigger market. Now he's in the worlds biggest market. Players still run the NBA.
