Eli Manning is a terrible quarterback and a complete bust. I can't believe we wasted all those draft picks on a player who has never panned out after four years in the league.

I would love to get one of the following QBs:

Brady Quinn, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, Chris Simms, J.P. Losman

Please just anyone but Eli! He has a 55% completion percentage, he's thrown 17 picks this year, his passer rating is a mediocre 72 despite the good protection and receivers he gets.

I hope we can get Brady Quinn. I heard the Browns are looking to trade him in the offseason, we can give them draft picks, Eli (who will then be traded to some other desperate team) and a few defensive players.

The other 4 are good too though

The receivers dropped a lot of passes last night. It has to get into your head when you can't even trust your own receivers.

Umm, no thanks on Boller, HArrington, Simms or Losman. And just dont see Quinn doing much in his career to be honest. Rather see Trent Dilfer than those guys mentioned as the running game looks good and just need a QB to play smart.

Joey Harrington? Are you sure about that?

Josh McCown deserves a steady starting gig, maybe the Raiders will part with him, he's better than a guy keeping the seat warm for JaMarcuss Russel.

Off your list I think that Brady Quinn would be the guy to have, he is ready to play and he should be playing.

But did you see the drop highlight reel during last nights game? 8 drops before the end of the third quarter.

There is a serious lack of QB's in the NFL right now. Be glad you have Eli who is a top 15ish qb.

The Giants are one win away from making it 3 straight years in the playoffs. You replace the quarterback when you're ready to start over, not when you're a contender.

Let's face it the only reason Eli was picked #1 was the because of his Brother and his Father. But Yeah if i were the Giants i would have kept Rivers (who they orginally drafted but traded they traded to get Eli)

Rofl J.P. Losman . You have named four QB's that have absouloutely nothing but sitting on the bench the rest of their career except maybe Quinn.

lmao. Dude excluding maybe Quinn who hasn't started a game yet, those other QBs are far worse than Eli. The Giants problem isn't Eli. Its a lot of things that make Eli's inconsistency at times look worse.

Joey Harrington?! :?

ummm... I totally agree with the B.Quinnor Simms pick but that other dudeJoey needs to stop playing all together. I feel bad for everyone ragging on Eli, but he has been sucking it up pretty bad. Maybemore faith in the running game and shorter pass plays could help smooth things out.

Rivers was a much better QB than Eli in college and his game has transitioned to the pro level. All Eli had going for him into the draft was his physical tools which he can't seem to use effectively in the NFL.

Eli does have a game or two of brilliance but for those once in a blue moon moments there's games where he goes like 5/36 for barely over 100 yards, maybe one TD and 2 picks but the Giants still win because of a stingy defense.

I loved Eli Manning his first year, even bought his jersey but he's not going to take us to greater heights. I kind of wish we still had Kerry Collins or Kent Graham, they gave us a better chance and Collins took us to the SB.

Why Brady Quinn? Well he's a QB who spent his college career ina pro style offense and has shown he is prepared to perform as a starter in the NFL.

Why Kyle Boller? Perhaps the most underrated QB in the NFL. He's never really been given the chance to carry the Ravens because of injuries and Billick doesn't trust him but he's better than Manning. He can throw a deeper and more accurate ball and can put zip on all of his passes. As soon as he adapts to the coverages (something Eli will never really understand) he's ready to put up big time stats.

Why Joey Harrington? Look say what you want about him he'saccurate when given time and he can throw the ball downfield. Confidence may be an issue but he really is a class character and there couldn't be a better person to represent an NFL organization than Joey.

Why Chris Simms? Well first of all he's from this area, he was the high school player of the year here and is well known. He's perhaps the most accurate lefthanded QB since Mark Brunell (well other than Matt Leinart) and he's a good decision maker for the most part.

Why J.P. Losman? Meh I just threw him out there. Personally I love his style of play but it wouldn't really work in NY. It works good in Buffalo but unfortuntaely his Bills career might be coming to an end with Stanford stud Trent Edwards taking over this year. (And I was shocked that the Lions took Drew Stanton instead of Edwards. It made no sense to me in the draft)

I agree with whoever said Trent Dilfer too. Great style of play, kind of a mature version of Losman with a more compact, polished game. But lets face it, he's stay in Cali, thats where he wants to be

Well at his best, I'd rather have Eli over Simms and Losman but he's been playing shell shocked for four years now. Its time he either matures or goes to the CFL.

I have to admit I am fond of Joey Harrington and I think he'd do well in the Giants offense. He is more accurate than people give him credit for. (more accurate than Eli actually)

Boller I would take but he's still a work in progress.

derekjeter2005

Couldn't agree more. I thank God every day that he bi***ed out and cried to his daddy so that he wouldn't have to play for the Chargers. Best thing to ever happen to that franchise.

By the way, check out this recent thread about Eli:

A lot of good laughs in there from dilusional Giants' fans, especially the TC.

no way, keep eli, he was the MVP for the game... Formy Skins HAHA

(High Five WhoShotMe!)

That being said, he's inconsistent and lacks being able to let emotion overwhelm him during a game, he's still better than all those QBs you have mentioned (considering if Brady Quinn is a bust or not) when he's on.

To be fair, with the 25mph winds in NY sunday night, i think even tom brady or eli's brother would have problems passing.

Could be stuck with Rivers AND a 2004 3rd round pick (Pro Bowl kicker Nate Kaeding) AND a 2005 1st round pick (2 time Pro Bowl and Defensive ROY Shawne Merriman) AND a 2005 5th round pick (traded to Tampa Bay in exchange for left tackle Roman Oben).

Exactly...

Eli could become a decent QB. However, the O-line is terrible, can't get the guy any time...and half of his passes that were dead on, ended up being dropped.

the good protection and receivers he gets.

Do you even watch Giants games? That o-line is a run blocking o-line. That's why it gets so much praise for being underrated (weird). They are not a good pass blocking line. And the Giants have the most drops in the league.

Nope. Technically yes, but nickname wise, a 3rd stringer CB named Lenny Taylor doesn't deserve to be called LT.

Manning played a great game. But this doesn't mean anything because he did what the Eagles and Ravens did. Show up only when they play the Pats. Now he'll go back to being sub par like those two teams. If the rest of the league played this way against all teams but the Patriots, the NFL would be much more interesting. I honestly don't know what they are playing for if they show up to try and knock off the Pats and then fall flat the following week.

Still a great game for Eli...

4 Touchdown passes against the Patriots defense is pretty impressive. Even though he through the game away with running down that clock, he showed a good effort.

Next week he'll be playing in the best weather he's seen in awhile in Tampa (hopefully). So I have hope he'll play well.

Every year Eli starts hot in good weather, then slows down in cold weather. I still don't understand why the Giants don't practice in the cold. Get him used to that game weather.

Last night showed the problem isn't Eli, its the rest of the team as well. Took them forever to get started on plays in the final seconds of the game.

There is a serious lack of QB's in the NFL right now. Be glad you have Eli who is a top 15ish qb.Just_Osmo

agreed. its hard to find a good consistant qb now. be glad that u have eli compared to what other teams have.

Do you still want to get rid of him now?

Giants are a game away from the Superbowl. Eli has been playing extremely well.
