I won't believe what this piece of dirt has to say about A-Rod because of three reasons:
1) Why didn't he wrote about A-Rod in his first book? What he suddenly remember giving some roid's to A-Rod? In his first book he goes after the biggest name in baseball(Mark, Palmeiro, Pudge) why wouldn't he said something about A-Rod then? He didn't knew that his book was going to be such a success so he went all out on the first and gave his best shot(we true details) and did what was intended to do: come out with personal details while making a buck. But to me this new stuff is just made up.
2) What gives credibility to Canseco's allegations in the first book is the fact that he played with the guys he alleged took steroids: Mark McGuire(Oakland), Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, Juan Gonzalez(Texas)...but guess what; Canseco never played with A-Rod. So tell this scum bag to take a hike.
3) Plus A-Rod always was seen, since a teenager, to be a prodigy, just like Griffey, Greztky, or LeBron. We have never seen a strange or abnormal spike in production or in his body from A-Rod.
It is Canseco . . . does anyone believe this guy? He must need some money.duxup
Did you read his first book. I did and I believe him and yes Im sure he needs the mony. Lets look at all the good things Canseco has done for baseball.
1) baseball now has a drug testing policy
2) Big Mac is not in the hall
3) Palmerio is out of baseball
What in his first book was not true? Fine so he lied about running a 3.9 40. Big deal. He has been one of the few people telling the truth about roids in baseball. Remember not a single person sued him over what was in the book. Anyway we still dont know what "stuff" Canseco has on Alex anyway. It might not be roids. He could say Alex used a corked bat or cheated on his wife or Alex and Jeter made out with eachother. Who knows but dont blow off what he says in the new book because he needs money or your an Alex fan. Jose knows how to hype up a book and this is going to be a fun few months thats for sure.

#2 isn't entirely true I dont think. Canseco at one time played for texas for a lil time I do believe, and so did A-Rod. Not sure if they played there at the same time though. Almost positive they did though.

The guy cheats at the game and profits from it. Then when he's out and needs some money he makes whatever claims will make him some money. I'm supposed to be thankful for that? You make it sound like he's on a crusade to save baseball... He doesn't care one bit, he wants money and will say what it takes to make it. I don't trust him.

Dont get me wrong Im not a Canseco fan at all and I dont think he cares about baseball. He is in it for the all mighty dollar. But that dose not change that fact that his first book was just about spot on. Atleast as far as the roids go. He is the only person who has told the truth. Remember when Palmeiro called Canseco a liar in front of congress? All I know is everyone should hear what he has to say before blowing him off.

Yup, the money from the last book ran out so he had to point more fingers. In his next book, he will say David Wells is on steroids.
i think arod is clean. he's pretty built, but not ridiculously inflated like canseco, mcguire, bonds, etc.romocop33
All this juice talk is really starting to ruin the game. I don't know much about Canseco's first book, but I know enough to realize that whatever he has to say about A-Rod (true or not) will be interesting at least. I hope (and think) that A-Rod is clean though, or about as clean as you can get anyway.Petshopboy
It isnt the juice talk its the actual use of the drug thats ruining baseball. I dont think A-Rod used anything and I dont think Canseco will say he did. His 1st book was about the steroid being used in baseball and how it effected him(for the good and bad) and he just so happened to mention a few names. He wasnt out to give every name in baseball till now.
HELLO!!!!! HE JUST GAINED 20 POUNDS OF PURE MUSCLE THIS YEAR IN LESS THAN4 MONTHS, BELIEVE ME HE'S ON SOMETHING. JUST LIKE BONDS GO BACK TO THE TAPES OF HIM JUST STARTING OUT IN SEATTLE AND YOU CAN SEE HE'S GAINED A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF MUSCLE IN THOSE YEARS. DOES IT CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT HIM AND BARRY NO U STILL HAVE TO HIT IT AGAINST PITCHERS THAT WERE ON STEROIDS AS WELL.bigboy31umm Arod lost Weight this year:| and turn off your CAPS!!!!!!!
DID U SEE HIM ON DAVID LETTERMAN WITHOUT HIS SHIRT ON THIS YEAR. WHAT DO U MEAN HE'S NOT BUFF!! AND HE DID GAIN 20 POUNDS DUDE LOOK IT UP.bigboy31
Look at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue from a couple of years ago, he was equally "buff", plus his wife is hot.

[QUOTE="swamprat_basic"]Canseco would accuse Babe Ruth of using steroids, if it meant more people would buy his book.-CC-
Not true. How many players did he name in his first book turned out to be clean? Zero.
The minute he started turning against his former teammates for the sake of profit was the very same minute that I stopped putting stock in anything he had to say, because at this point, Canseco will say anything.
