I still highly doubt LeBron is going to the Heat.

This is disappointing. Congrats, Heat fans. Miami's going to be a pretty strong contender in the east for years to come.

Hell yes is all I have to say. Re-signing Wade is awesome. Getting Bosh as well is icing on the cake. Would I be stoked if Lebron joined as well? Yeah, but I don't see it happening at all. I'd honestly rather just have Wade and Bosh and focus on getting some solid role players to fill out the roster.

The Heat get some good veterans, nice role players and they got a strong team on the East.

Good for the Heat, now maybe they'll be major playoff conenders again. I'm actually kinda glad, Bosh was looking for a huge contract and it would've eaten up all of Chicago's free agent money, definitely not worth it. I would've liked to land Bosh and Lebron, but I think this makes it a little more likely that we'll land King James and I'd definitely take him over Bosh.

If Lebron stays in Cleveland, he's going to be looking at being eliminated in the playoffs by Wade and Bosh every year.

Well, nothing can be singed until the 8th, so things may still change. However if bosh does join with wade it will be good to see the heat as serious playoff contenders once again.

if these 2 sign with the Heat, Lebron should sign in Chicago if he is going to want to contend against them every year and hopefully get another lesser, yet still quality player to come with him

oh man that's a lethal combo right there. I gotta say D Wade probably feels like Kobe the day Gasol came to the Lakers. I'm happy for him, I wish those guys the best of luck just not when they're going up against LA :P

based off of the 11:30 central interview with bosh and wade, i feel like wade said 2 things that makes lebron coming very likely:

first, the background: every indication so far has said that bosh's first choice was to go to chicago with lebron. after that, it was generally said that playing with wade in miami was his second choice, however, dwayne wade just said something strange in that interview. He said he had reached a point where he was willing to go to chicago, BUT DECIDED AGAINST IT BECAUSE BOSH WANTED TO GO TO MIAMI. if bosh had the choice between playing with dwayne wade in chicago or miami, it seems obvious that he would have picked chicago. based off of this, the only thing that would have caused wade and bosh to go to miami instead of chicago, would have to be lebron coming to miami. we knew before the interview that chicago was bosh's first choice (with lebron or wade) and from the interview, wade said that it was bosh that was the deciding factor in not going to chicago. onw factor that proves me wrong would be if wade was simply lying when he said that it was bosh that caused him to stay. i think it was bosh and lebron than caused him to stay.

the other reason is that they said in the interview that they're both willing to take less money to bring other players. if all three drop 2 mil a piece, they would have enough to keep beasley.

lebron is going to miami.

Normally, I'd debate those points, but at this point it just seems silly. Let's just wait until tommorrow night. Speculation is fun sometimes, but no one knows for sure where Lebron is going.

I'm not sure what this post means. If you're a Heat fan, you should be thrilled with the way this offseason went even if they don't get LeBron.
Wade, Bosh, and a decent supporting cast would be a good enough team to win a championship. They don't need LeBron, though it obviously wouldn't hurt.

based off of that interview, i'd say wade and bosh know, even if i'm wrong about miami. at this point, it pretty much seems like its cleveland or miami. if chicago, bosh would have went too. the only outlier is NY or NJ.

you're right though- almost no one knows and i could have easily misread wade.

How do you know Bosh would have went to Chicago with Lebron though? Him and Wade have the same agent, they've both been filming their Free Agency processes and they've both met with the same teams on the same day (usually a few hours apart). If anything, this past week has shown me that

1)Bosh is tied to the hip of Wade

and

2) Bosh wants big money, which is why all these Toronto sign and trade rumors came up.

I just don't see the Lebron correlation, when it's clear Lebron was doing his own thing, and letting Wade & Bosh do their things toegther.

Nonetheless, the buildup until tomorrow night will be full of rampant speculation and even more "leaks" of Lebron's decision. I'll just wait until tomorrow and stop trying to figuring it all out. Much better for my well being. :P

I disagree, you have to remember they are in the East. Which is pretty weak.

Last year Miami won 47 games and was the 5th seed with Wade alone.

I'd say the addition of Bosh, puts them ahead of Atlanta and maybe an older Boston.

Plus Idk if anyones noticed, but Wade is a beast in the playoffs.

I'm not saying they are a lock to make it to the Finals, but I'd say they're gonna get somewhere close.

Bosh wanted a max contract, what he's getting in Miami is either going to be $90 million or $125 million depending on how he leaves. I used to think Bosh and Lebron were going somewhere together, but between Bosh's contract demands and D-Wade getting a sizable contract too I'm starting to think that Lebron put the idea of playing with either out of his head earlier than anyone thought. There is simply no way that Miami's going to pay three max contracts, it's unheard of. Even the best Lakers teams, Celtics teams, and Bulls teams never had the equivalent of those three on the roster. My guess is either that the Bulls convinced James to sign using their new coach, young talent, and a signing we haven't heard of yet like Carlos Boozer, or that Amare convinced Lebron to go to the Knicks. I don't think Miami or Cleveland are plausible destinations for James.

very depressing for toronto :( me myself am frum toronto and the last thing i want to see is the raptors getting even worse, but we all know thats gonna happen :( but for miami on the other hand this will greatly help the heat make a huge presence in the heat, and with bosh around, beasly might start to become a more solid player in the post, and plus, Bosh will finally have a team that isn't based on all international players and a crappy defense :P now the only thing i'm waiting for is for our rookie Ed Davis to mature quickly so he can act as a "decent" replacement for the Bosh SOON

The Heat would of been smart to have added Lebron and just add a couple of tall players. Bosh isn't really going to make that much of a difference. If I had to choose between Bosh or Bynum, I would take Bynum.

I mean seriously if that is all the Heat is going to add then they would have been better off trading a couple of players to get a top pick in the draft and taking Demarcus Cousins. Of course, I think that getting Cousins and adding Lebron would be better than Bosh/Lebron.

If this is all the Heat are gonna do they would have been better off just adding Lebron, then go ahead and lose every game next year so you get a top pick in the NBA draft, then get rid of the rest of the Heat roster expect Wade/Lebron then add a Big Center.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm

Its time for some totally wrong logic provided by me, the following is untrue but i wish it was true.

LBJ will NOT go to Chicago. You know why? Because hes NOT gonna be able to beat the Heat with him and Rose alone. But in that case why stay in the east?!!

HEs comin to the west, right where a SF decided to leave this summer...In the Texas three way... SAN ANTONIO SPURS!;)

lol jk but i can dream:(

Wade has said from he start he prefers to stay in Miami, and for me Bosh gets winning, money and sunny all in Miami, aswell as the ego. He gets to be the Pau gasol, rather than another all starpiece with chicago.

Well it went to game seven, which was put to bed by Ron Artest luckily at the end, winning by 4 points..

Anyone but me think Bosh is highly over-rated? He always reminded me of a less talented, less team-oriented Duncan with a bit more altheticism.

I mean, he had a bunch of years at 18ppg, 10rpg, and had one really good stat season last year, but he isn't good enough to carry a Toronto team with Turk, and a few other decent role players to the playoffs every year, so i really think he's overpayed and overrated.

Until Bosh pulls off 20 points, 20 rebounds, 10 blocks, 8 assists in the NBA Finals (or any NBA playoff game) i wouldn't even consider giving near the same amount of money as Duncan, or others

But this leaves me to wonder where do my Spurs go now? Losing Jefferson and major disdain forming with Tony Parker, Tiago Spliiter is coming over (hopefully) and James Anderson and Ryan Richards can hopefully contribute right away. But we're over the cap.

I was kinda hoping the Spurs would trade Parker to the Knicks for Lee, a future 1st round pick (coz with Amar'e as NYK's main player they will still suck) and maybe Chandler.

And i hoped the Spurs could've made a run at Channing Frye but that is lost too. Shaq for the MLE isn't out of the question? I don't understand why Shaq would play for the Hawks when that team the last two years has been beaten mercilessly by a real contender in the playoffs and showed no heart at all. And Bibby is gonna get old soon, its a matter of time and Johnson isn't a franchise player he's a great second option, and it seems Smith has really developed all he could, and signing Shaq probably will hurt Horford's development.

I don't know, but i' glad too many faces didn't change teams, i kinda root for the smaller markets to maintain their stars.

I guess Bosh learned the same thing Vince Carter did in Toronto, they both aren't franchise players.

At best with the heat just adding Bosh they are no better than this years Celtics on their best day. And the Celtics were not really competiting against the Lakers.

Sonwhy

:| The Celtics went to game 7 against the Lakers and game 7 was really close. It was pretty much the most competitive series you could possibly ask for.

No to Heat, why? Whos going to be the Team Captain? Lebron?, doubt it, Wade is not gonna give that up. Whos going take Mvp of the season, whos going to be Finals Mvp. Three Ball-only effective players is a recipe for disaster.

Lebron is itching for a big endorsement, remember? I say Knicks is the most realistic option pairing with Amare. Imagine the headlines and glory he gets there and playing against Wade would finally prove whether he is the best or not, not playing alongside with him.

I hope LeBron doesn't go to Miami, that would just be bad for the NBA and their legacies. However, I do think it is more likely now that LeBron could go to Miami.

Yeah, and the Celtics were up by 13 in the third quarter. They had a 3-2 series lead after 5 games.

This was probably the most competitive finals we've seen in years.

I agree, and I'm a Heat fan. I wouldn't complain if Lebron came, but just use that money and get role players to round out the roster, Miami. Unless all of a sudden each guy is willing to take a pay cut (doubtful) to sign more impact players, then go for it.

And if they don't win at least 2-3 rings while in Miami... failure. If they win none they'll be the biggest laughing stock in the NBA of all-time. I don't want to have to deal with that pressure.

You can't possibly deny that the series was competitive. The Celtics were very close to an NBA Championship this year.

Some of the Laker fans on here are getting as bad as the Boston fans a couple years ago.

I'm not sure what this post means. If you're a Heat fan, you should be thrilled with the way this offseason went even if they don't get LeBron.
Wade, Bosh, and a decent supporting cast would be a good enough team to win a championship. They don't need LeBron, though it obviously wouldn't hurt.

vigoureuxEVIL5

Are the heat trying to compete for championships or just win a couple playoff games? If your trying to win a championship then you need Lebron because just adding Bosh doesn't equal competiting for championships.

Well it went to game seven, which was put to bed by Ron Artest luckily at the end, winning by 4 points..

The Lakers let it go to 7 games just to give ABC their ratings. They could of finished off the Celts in game 5.

I guess Bosh learned the same thing Vince Carter did in Toronto, they both aren't franchise players.

darth-pyschosis

I completely agree but it aint ever gonna happen. Bosh is too small. He needs to put on about 50 or 60 pounds and I'm not talking fat. He needs more bulk. Its nice to have a guy down low that can score and make shots really well but rebounds and size are alot nicer.

The heat are never gonna be able to compete for a championship game. It doesn't matter if they can get to the finals. The only thing that matters in the playoffs in the NBA is if you can beat the Lakers and that is it. Other than that your always gonna end up in second or worse place.

If I am the Miami Heat, then I want to get my moneys worth out of Bosh. I would have him eating like crazy and maybe even some steroids for the bulk. I wouldn't even let him touch a bball this summer. For a big man its not about shooting or dribbling, its about using your size to take advantage of others and Bosh doesn't even know what **** I'm talking about.

This is crazy. If you can't beat the Lakers and when they win it every year then go ahead and start trying to get into fights with their players or trying to hurt them because this is BS. And its like this every flippin year. If the teams in the NBA are not going to make intelligent free agency decisions than **** it!

Thats because they didn't want to sweep the Celts. I couldn't even watch the NBA finals because they were too boring.

Although there were some games where the players got rough and I like that. I love hard fouls. If your gonna lose and Lakers are gonna win bascially everything single year than take it out on some of their players.

And

I can say the same about the East with the Celts. If a team like the Hawks plays the Celts give en hell with some hard fouls.

Happy to be a Heat fan right now :D

But we'll need more than just Bosh and Wade if we want to be true East contenders like we were a several years ago.

Our Championship team starting lineup was J-Wil, Wade, Antoine Walker, Haslem and Shaq so were gonna need some solid players who can hit big shots when our stars are getting double team or having an off night.

more and more "sources" are coming out of the woodwork saying miami. i personally would prefer chicago as i think a chicago team with lebron, boozer, rose, noah is better than a miami team with wade, bosh, beasley. having said that, both teams would likely get some championships. if their together, it could easily mean a 5-7 championship dynasty superteam.

who else could miami get if lebron doesn't go to miami?

Let's just say if you had a choice to pick a city to live/work----you'd pick Miami without a doubt.
[QUOTE="Master_Live"]Stupid Bosh who didn't want to play in Cleveland!!!andyboiii
I've never been to Cleveland but is the city that bad? lol anyways he gets to play in Miami which I assume is much better then Cleveland and he gets to join a former Finals MVP with Wade. Bosh made a great decision
