He wasn't my favorite football player but my thoughts go out to his family.

EDIT: Sorry, I was on CBS Sports when they said he died. Turns out he's seriously injured. Hope he's all right. Sorry for misleading anyone.

He hasn't died yet ... but as of now it doesn't look good at all. :( I mean what was he thinking getting in the back of a truck while she was speeding off?

When you think about it his fiancee had to of been going pretty fast and swerving in order for him to fall out and sustaine these kind of injuries. It should be her fault even though it was his decision to get into the back.

It's stupid she didn't slow down, I would slow down if someone jumped in the back of my car

We don't know the full story of why he did that. For all we know he maybe was trying to beat her in a fit of rage and she was trying to escape? Would you blame her for NOT slowing down and trying to get away? [QUOTE="CleanPlayer"][QUOTE="3sFan"]

Adam Schefter's twitter: "Charlotte police say Chris Henry passed on at just after 6:30 a.m. Prayers for his family and for his children."

I always liked Henry as a player. It's too bad.

Will his GF be charged?MoonMarvel

For what? Trying to escape someone so intent on capturing her that he jumped into the back of a pickup truck and tried to force her to pull over?

The only thing I can say about that is that thank God no innocent bystanders on that road were hurt or killed while all this occurred

Drug possession
Driving without a license
Possessing concealed firearms
Aggravated assault with a firearm
Serving underage girls alcohol in hotel
Driving under the influence
Assault and battery
Assault and battery

That's the list of his transgressions up to yesterday, people have been saying that he turned a corner but what does this latest event show?

I agree, she was probably scarred for her life. He was slamming on the window of the pickup apparently. Very sad tragedy.

Yeah, this guy has been looking for trouble all his freaking life, he was rich and in a good situation. And yet he kept finding ways to do stupid crap. I cant really feel much sadness after this. People dies everyday, just because the guy was a NFL receiver doesnt make him a more worthy person. So why should we post things like ''RIP Henry'' here? I dont see anybody here posting stuff like ''RIP kids that dies out of hunger in Africa'' everyday, so why bother doing that to a thug that just died? Im not saying Im happy he died, of course not, but this is ridiculous.

This is an honest question I want to know, why is this argument only used when a Black person dies? I have never heard this when a white person dies. I am starting to think this is a very racist thing to say. I didnt even hear this when ronald reagan died but it always pops up when a black person dies.

Really?

Ronald Reagan died by putting his life and everyone else on the road lives in danger trying to make Nancy's pickup run off the road?

This is the argument you feel like having?

Not to be mean or anything..............but ESPN was talking about the "turning a corner" thing, makes you wonder if they decide to build up athletes so it's not as obvious we all look up to a bunch of thugs in these leagues. Never hearing it over a white guy that's because people want to be nice when someone dies, i'm sure people out there would be saying something if they were scumbags.

Because it is a race issue. I have NEVER heard that argument in relation to a white mans death. EVER. Even if you did say the same you would wrong on both accounts. If you say RIP to every faceless person you would be saying it forever, so you reserve it for people the nation may actually know, so to assure it has an impact and that people care. Knowing this and the fact I have never heard the argument about a white mans death its clear this is a racial issue.

If this is a race issue, then why the hell did I just said that childs dying in Africa is a big deal and not Chris Henry's death?

MoonMarvel

Like how they did the reports on Larry Bird's first child he doesn't have contact with?
How about Mullin's problems with alcohol?
Following Lance Armstrong for years about his suspected use of performance enhancers?
Roger Clemens taking performance enhancers?
Andre Agassi's drug problem?
John Calapari's violations at UMass and Memphis?
Mark Maguire's performance enhancers?
Bobby Knight's various outbursts?

Really, anytime you want me to stop I can because I could do this list all day

Chris Henry was a person who put innocent people in harm's way over and over in his lifetime. For whatever reason he could not avoid not only trying to destroy himself but everyone around him. He never "righted the ship" because if he did he wouldn't have been trying to cause someone's truck off the road the night he died

The media portrays him as Black. Sometimes they mention the Asian part but rarely white unless his wife is involved. But they use that black thing to the ends of the earth. The whole tiger thing is silly because it seems like a load. Didnt that woman say they didnt have an affair?
