As good as Chris Paul is, I'd rather have Parker on my team. He's still very young yet very experienced, and has a finals mvp award to show for it.

i respect everyone's opinion but man you must be crazy. You give Paul Duncan and Ginoboli he'd be twice as good as he is now which is scary

While Parker is a quality team player - would take Paul for a team leader.

Parker doesn't set anyone up when he isn't driving to the basket. CP3 can find you whether he's standing still, double teamed, falling down, or whenever. Chris Paul by far and away.

I would take either or. I think both players are great. I dont want to take anything away from either one. Paul is leading his team because he has to. Parker could lead a team and do well but he is playing perfect basketball in his system. If we switched parker and paul I think we might have the same results. The only advantage to paul is age. This Spurs and Hornets series is one of the greatest Head to head point guard match ups in a long or ever. I hope both players keep it up because I enjoy watching them both play.

You are right but you have to understand that Parker plays within his system that requires him to score and pass when needed. The Spurs system is made of everybody setting themselves up by getting to the open spots and working off of disadvantages. With Duncan and Ginobili on the team, Parker's needed role isnt the same as Chris Paul's Role of being a leader and making plays happen night in and night out. Parker will create some games but then some games Ginobili will create or duncan will create depending on what is needed that night to win. Stats in San Antonio do not matter at all to any of the players, except for that Win column and Title column. Like I said before either point guard will do and they are both excellent players and are playing their roles to perfection, cant hate on either game. We dont have to choose which is better but we can appreciate both players. I dont care what the journalist say about the MVP this year, but I will aways beleive that the 2007/2008 season MVP is Chris Paul due to the amazing things he has done in NO. Who are they to decide who your MVP for the season is? All that matters is what you beleive that counts not them. Whoa got kinda deep.... hahaha

Actually Deron and Parker since they are both more of role type players that can some games step back when needed. Paul cant step back or NO would not run the same. Williams has Boozer and Okur that depending on who they are playing will take the lead for that game like the Spurs. When Paul has a bad game there isnt anybody to step in and carry the load when he is have a bad game like Williams and Parker have. Right now Williams is going to finish the Lakers series with great numbers because Point Guards aways do good against Phil Jackson teams.

Parker is 25. It's easy for me to keep up with his age since he and I are the same. If you're calling him old, then you're calling me old too :(

Paul would be a better point guard to build a team on than Parker. Parker is a great player that is added ON TOP of a base of a team.

Chris Paul is the best PG in the league, and then there is Tony Parker who is in the top 5 but not as talented as Paul. Parker is going to cry his eyes out the day Duncan retires, cause now he doesn't have is automatic big man to take the pressure off of him.
