Called up from the minors and in just his 2nd major league start, Clay throws a no hitter. This is a season to remember for Red Sox fans.

Only if they make the playoffs and get far in them. That was an incredible game though. Their pitching staff for the future looks really good right now.

That for me just brings back bad memories of Phil Hughes going for the no-hitter in his second career start as well. Then he got injured and hasn't been anywhere near as good since he came back. I was watching that on ESPN, that last curveball from Buchholz was nasty.

Damn, I pick this game not to watch. I watch every other. Oh well, I'll find it somewhere. If this guy can keep up the good performances the Red Sox will go far.

What an accomplishment for the kid. I don't care who the game was against, this isn't an easy thing to do. Congrats to Bucholz.

that curvball th ekid has is just crazy. Orioles just need to sell there franchise and become a AAA team becaus ethey got No hit,Ranger sscored 39 runs on them in one day and 99% of the people that go to there home games are cheering for the other team

Ummmm... what...? First off, the Rangers only cored 30 runs on them. Secondly, i think 99% is a tad extreme. Thirdly, why the Orioles, when the Devil Rays could do the exact same thing, they are NEVER good. :P (selling the franchise, that is).

its was a doube header Rangers scored 30 and then 9.......and Devil Rays can actually be a threat unlike the Orioles

Yeah, I was blown away when I first heard about this. :) It's so awesome how deep our starting pitching is. Beckett, Schilling, Dice-K, Wakefield, Buckholz, and Lester. Woot! :) There will be no excuses if the Red Sox don't make the playoffs.

Nice job to the rookie, hopefully he doesnt end up like Bud Smith(formerly of the Cardinals, rookie few years back that threw perfect game or no hitter that didnt do much after that)

That was sweet!

I'm a red sox fan in California. I was at the Oakland game where Curt almost threw a no-no...Damn that Shannon Stewart! Even the A's fans sitting around me were wanting to see the no-no rather than have their team win.

Yeah, but Angels pitching rotation is better, best in majors.
