Cotto is winning but if clotty lets hands go he can win.

It was a great performance by Cotto, but I think Clottey was robbed. At worst I would say it was a draw, but imo Clottey won the fight. He was defenitely the better boxer in that fight.
i've never had any opinion for cotto either way before this fight. I thought he was an elite fighter but i never rooted for, or against, him. After this fight i'm a fan. He could have easily complained to the ring doctor that his eye was too messed up after the 4th round and the fight would have been stopped and he would have won on points, but he didn't. He's like a welterweight rocky balboa. He might not be as skilled as other fighters but he's tough as hell and has more heart than all of em

it was no way a tie, Clotty has his chance, it is his fault he lost the fight. Clotty has the faster hands and when he let them go he did damage, and he didnt do that but a few rounds the whole fight. Cotto on the other hand didnt stop even after being close to losing in the middle rounds. and rounds 9-12 were all won by Cotto and that decided the fight.
There is no way Cotto won by the margin the judges gave him. I had it 114-113 for Clotty.
116 to 111 is just flat out wrong. I mean seriously? Cotto won because his last name is Cotto. Clotty was dominated from round 7 on. He let up in the 12 but he still had won the 11th because he landed huge punches as oppose to the two hooks Cotto landed in the last 10 secs.
I wish the judges would score based on the entire round instead of what was only fresh in their minds.

I thought it was a draw too very back and forth, but theres so many shoulda cudda wuddas for Clottey, If he didnt get KD in the 1st round he wudda won the fight and if he didnt let up through rounds 11 and 12 he cudda won. but cotto deserves it for fighting through his cut, but i really think it was a draw, buts it wasnt a bad decision made by the judges because it was such a close fight .It was a great performance by Cotto, but I think Clottey was robbed. @ Duxup...thanks for reopening it.
I agree that Cotto was good in fighting on with that cut, but I don't think that justifies him deserving the win. Yes he threw more punches, but Clottey outlanded him by like 40 or 50 punches according to concubox #s. Clottey landed at much higher percentage and landed more meaningful punches. I understand why they gave Cotto the win, but it just isn't right in my mind. They should judge the entire fight and the entire round as well. Cotto was more active in the last 3 rounds, but he wasn't always landing clean punches. I think he was stealing the rounds with late flurries towards the end of them. In the end though Clottey should have done more so there wouldn't have been a question or doubt of who deserved to win.
