wow:|

Haren has more inning pitched more strikeouts and is the Al ERA leader so he diserves the start over JB

C.C. Sabathia coul dhave started yes but like I said Haren is the AL ERA Leader It wouldnt have really mattered if Sabathia or Haren started they both got to the AS Game and thats what they diserve.

I think you need to sit down and realize that A) Haren should be starting based on what he's done and B) it doesn't really matter at all.

if you think about it it kinda does. I mena it could be a bad game for Haren and he could give up 3 runs or something and well tis game is for Home Field advantage

Haren is the best pitcher in the league his e.r.a. is like 2.00 his record 10-3 is cause his team is crap...look at Clemens in 2005 he had a 1. something e.r.a. (which is as rare as someone entering the 700 hr club these days) but he didnt won the Cy Young award because his team hated him and only won him 10 games.

Him and Jake Peavy I thought were the most deserving. I'm glad it's not Beckett or Penny starting :)

Danny Haren deserves to start for the AL, he has a terrific ERA, nice amount of inning pitched, and nice strikeouts

I'm happy Peavy is starting for the NL, he's my favourite player. I hope he wins the Cy Young, too.

Hmm...

Let's look at Haren's stats:

ERA 2.30 (Leads AL)

Opposing BA .201 (Leads AL)

WHIP 1.00 (2nd in AL)

K's 101 (9th in AL)

IP 129.1 (Leads AL)

Wins 10 (Tied for 4th in AL)

Yeah, they totally blew that decision... What were they thinking?

The only reason that Haren's ERA is above 2 is because he had 2 less than stellar outtings to close out the first half. He had the best stats though, and definitely should have gotten the start. If it wasn't Haren, than it should have been Verlander. He went head to head with CC, and smoked him, and he threw a no-hitter earlier this year, his stats, except for wins are better, and did I mention he threw a no-hitter? Beckett and CC both have higher ERAs than Haren and Verlander....and higher opponent BA too.
