He's washed up and over the hill past his prime. It's all marketing hype. That seemingly isent even going that well. His welcome with open arms though by the league and sponser has not exactly been as wrming as they would of thought.
No one gives a dam about him. Now his wife POSH. Yummy i think people try to check her out more them him at this point.
If you think Beckham is washed up and over the hill then you know nothing about Football(soccer). He's still the best passer in the game. He doesn't have flashy dribbling skills but his passing and playmaking ability is still on top, and no one is better than him crossing the ball from the wing and set pieces.
If not for Beckham, England would not make it to 2nd round of World Cup 2006.
I do believe Beckham is past his prime. But i also think he will be one of the best players in the MLS.
I hope other people agree with me when i say that Beckham is only playing for LA Galaxy for the money. If he really cared about his football which he claims that is the reson he moved he would of moved back to England, playing FOOTBALL not SOCCER.
You cant call him a flop before he has even played a competitive game at least wait til he has recovered from his injury before judging him.fordies
He's played plenty of games already outside the MLS, and it's plain to see he's a flop. He might shine here, but that's because he's not really going up against real competition.

He didnt have the best of seasons last year at Madrid but since February his performances had picked up again and he was playing well for Madrid helping them to the La Liga title thats why there was all the talk of him regretting signing his contract and why Madrid wanted him to get out of the LA Galaxy deal.
i dont watch soccer enough to make a judgement....but comeon! 50 mil a year?!?!Nooge3491
I suspect that the op doesn't watch soccer as well or else it wouldn't be speaking out of its arse. To be quite honest give the guy a chance if you are already a fan of mls or soccer in general then the hype surrounding him shouldn't faze you. In the end him being here is brining attention, money and the prospect of future stars ending their career in the mls. Imagine seeing Ronaldo in three years time.
