awesome? not quite. the guy cant catch a ball to save his life. but while he was here in jacksonville he was decent. but the jags have a better/younger guy thats been on the bench named Gerald Sensabaugh, he's been nicknamed the beast by his teammates

Yes, and he's officially the third highest paid safety in the league

I listened to him in an Interview on Sirius NFL Radio, and he made a pretty good point - he's always played in someone else's shadow at the safety position. (Mike Minter in Carolina, Donovin Darius in Jacksonville). In the last 6 seasons, he hasn't missed a game, averaged 3 INT, 8 passes defensed, and about 65 tackles per year. He seems to be a model of consistency. I don't know if he's worth how much he got paid, but we'll see this fall. Plus, he's looking forward to a leadership role in the secondary in Seattle.

Deon Grant is not bad. He's an above average safety. He's a solid addition to Seattle's secondary which has been banged up last season. But was he overpaid? Hell yes.

Deon Grant is a good safety that's played on some great defenses (ex: Panthers), so this was a good pickup made by the Seahawks.

Donovan Darius is getting old, and he is coming off of 2 consecutive season ending injuries. If the Jaguars take FS Reggie Nelson in the draft, Gerald Sensabaugh might move to strong safety replacing Darius
