I'd be thrilled if Fisher signed with the Heat, but I'm about 95% positive he'll go back to the Lakers. He has no real reason to leave. The Lakers can (assumingly) offer the best deal, and trhey are proven winners. With the Heat he'd get the minimum, maybe a little more depending on the Big 3's contract situation.
I just can't see him going to any other team but after how crazy this offseason has been so far, I wouldn't be completely shocked to see Fisher in a Heat uniform next season.
not a good fit. I know he's beloved in LA, so this may hurt some hearts, but he's a system pg. He excels in the triangle because in THAT offense you don't have to do what the typical pg does. You don't have to break down defenses, penetrate to the rim and be an excellent passer. He is none of those things. That is why when he left for golden state he didn't succeed. And any success he had at Utah was when he was on the court at the SAME TIME as deron williams, so he could let him do the pg stuff and fisher could just hit the open shots. Unless the guy has become delusional, he knows where he needs to be for his skill set to be maximized
I just can't see him going to the Heat. Thye can't offer more than the Lakers, they may have to even offer less. He's probably trying to see what he's really worth, but if for some reason the Heat offer him like a 2 year/$10 million deal I wouldn't be surprise if he went with them.
I thought that D Fish was a Kobe guy....but with the way people are today I wouldn't be surprised if he submitted himself to the highest bidder.GrindingAxeI agree, I think Fisher will stay with the Lakers though but I'm not 100% sold on that though. I love your sig by the way, Jason Heyward is the man!!!
Lebron James met Fisher at the airport and gave him a recruiting pitch
Jeez, Pat Riley is putting his new supestar to work already. :P
Pat Riley is a beast but I think fisher is just trying to pull the Lakers necks so they offer him more cash. And the Heat will get a lot more "heat" if they do pull fisher, cause then they'll be seen as "stealing the competition's main component cause their scared they'll lose in the NBA Finals". I guarantee this board will be chanting that if they land him, quote me on that lol.

Actually, I would have said it's a wise move on Pat Riley's part to bring ina veteran that knows what it takes to win multiple rings. I'm sure Fisher won't be wearing a Heat jersey anytime soon though. Kobe would never let it happen. :P

Maybe you would but I guarantee people would. Our hate level would grow even larger than it is now cause then Lakers fans would be on us.
He fits perfectly with LA. And without him, it'll be impossible to keep Kobe accountable or in check. Other than Phil and Magic, Kobe respects Fish the most and that's needed especially among teammates.Expected. I had no hope that Fisher would join the Heat. He should stay in LA anyway.

More importantly Fisher's a disgrace if he even leaves LA
He was allowed an out in one of the grandest gestures by any franchise ever when he left Utah to go back to LA to take care of his daughter.
To play anywhere in the NBA besides LA would make him one of the lowest people to even don a jersey
He's got something going in LA, he's almost to the Rambis level and maybe a few more late career feats and he'll be a Laker that you always think of

So...you think Fish would be a disgrace if he leaves LA, but yet you have no problems with LeBron leaving Cleveland like the way he did?[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="ASK_Story"] He fits perfectly with LA. Please tell me how you're linking the two because this has to be good

You know he gave up 8 million from Utah, right? Also, this was over three years ago and his daughter is healthy now and no longer requiring chemotherapy. Her cancer is in remission. Fish is getting old and I'm sure he was exploring his options so that he can retire with the most money he can get for his family's future. What father wouldn't do that? I don't see any disgrace in that. And knowing Fisher's integrity, I'm sure that he wouldn't leave LA if he felt his daughter wasn't healthy enough. So I don't get your logic. Why would it be a disgrace for Fisher if he went to Miami when all is well now? Whereas for LeBron, he angered the entire state of Ohio, America, and the sport's world with his egotistical ESPN 1 hour special and yet you think Fish would be a disgrace?!Please Log In to post.
