Of course, who doesn't? I love soccer - playing it, watching it, the video games... But I call it football. :)
I have already had my comments on this. But real football has excitment and tension. American sports require teams to score every 5 minutes or every few seconds. It lacks that Oooooh Ahhhhhh! GGGOOOOOOOAOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL.
So although i am not a real football fan, as a sport its far better because it doesen't bow to commercial pressure like american sports.

ardylicious
Definitely my favorite sport!
But what ardylicious said made me laugh! This is so true! I just moved to Phoenix from Canada, and have gone to some NBA, NHL, and AFL games. They really treat the fans like they have ADD! There's always something going on. During breaks in play, there are never any moments where something else isn't going on! Anywho, at one of the NHL games, I overheard a guy behind me say, "Huh, they don't score much do they?" I find that for some odd reason, Americans need ridiculously high scoring games in order for the game to keep their attention. It's no wonder soccer has a hard time here!
But out of all the pro sporting events I have been to, the recent USA vs Mexico game in Phoenix was the most amazing experience I have ever had! The atmosphere was phenomenal!! I can't wait to go to a big game in Europe!
