Considering that he will most likely break Hank Aaron's home-run record in the Giants' 7 days of home games, i thought it would be appropriate to ask that, even though he has been found with steroids in his system, do you think he should be allowed into Cooperstown?

I think he should, despite the steroids. Steroids help A LOT, but they dont help "755+ home runs" a lot. Barry would have hit at least 500 or 600 even if he didn't use them, so i think he should still be allowed into the Hall o' Fame.

No, because he cheated. And you could say the same for others. If he didn't use them and got 500-600 HRs and everything else, then yes he would deserve it. He was great even before he took the roids.

He was a first ballot HOF before he appeared to take steroids. The guy is an amazing player. If he is indicted for taking steroids, then maybe he won't be allowed to be in the HOF, but that would be an injustice to the guy's amazing pre-roid career.

Barry hurt himself by taking the 'roids, but I can understand the pressure. Not so much as "cheating," but the fact 'roids can help you stay healthy. Aside from shrinking your 'nads and making you hormonal, they do build muscle. That's a great thing to have happen when you pull a muscle, etc. He always has been an outstanding ball player, but I'd rather see him be an outstanding role model.

(Barry Bonds rookie card:)

Nothing that can be considered performance enhancing, though.

Out of all the people in the game that took steroids....Barry took advantage of it the most. I mean, if your going to use, make it worth it, don't be like that Grimsley dude.

he should absolutely be allowed in. who knows how many people have used steroids, and if you want to go back to hank aarons time id be willing to bet that they were hopped up on amphetamines anyway. there is always going to be somebody trying to cut corners in professional sports.

How about the fact that he's already admitted using the "cream" and the "clear"? Or that when Bud Selig was asked if Barry should be known as the home-run king, Selig said that everyone can have his/her own opinion, but it's hard to cast personal feelings away (Aaron used to play for Milwaukee, Selig's hometown, andSelig used to own the Brewers). Seems to me that he only says that because he knows Bonds took roids (why the hell else wouldn't he think Bonds is the real home-run king??). Hard to believe he's not guilty when the commissioner himself seems to know so.

I'd think that would minimize his HR feats. More speed would equal greater distance as the force would be greater. (F=m*a, and Newton's first law [I think 1st, been a while] of thermodynamics, every action creates an opposite and equal reaction)

No. I think the "steroids didn't do it all" apologies are sad. If he he didn't need to cheat he wouldn't have, but he did. IMO you cheat you're out. If you want to be recognized for your talent, use it and don't cheat.

Yes, because it's obvious that he started rubbing that stuff on without asking his trainer what it was. There's no way he could suspect that the added muscle mass and head growth came from what his trainer was giving him. Swinging a bat a few times a day and working out with a few weights is undoubtedly enough make him gain huge amounts of muscle in his late thirties.

I won't pass judgement on someone; there is no reason why he wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.

Take away the years of speculation and this guy is still a hall of famer.

But heres my main grudge on this topic, a lot of people want Bonds out of the hall of fame and want his home run record no to count yet no one mentions the pitchers who are in the hall of fame who we know put junk on the ball to give them an advantage. In my opinion, if you're going to go after one, you need to go after everyone, yet nothing is said about those guys. Is it because it happened a long time ago? It shouldn't matter, what they did falls under the same catagory of what Bonds supposely did; cheating.

100% he should be in. Top 3 player of all time. I dont understand all the hate for Bonds when I bet over half of MLB were on roids. And no Im not saying that makes it right for Barry to take them. I just dont understand why Bonds takes 90% of the $%&* for the roid era when so many others take them. If you are a fan of MLB then there are players on your team who take them or did take them. Anyone see the size of A-rods head? He and Barry could trade batting helmets. Does that mean A-rod is on them? No but you cant trust ANYONE in the last 20 years. Back in the 80s a player who hit 35 HRs was supperstar now 35 HRs is a joke. Players today are bigger than ever and its just a part of the game. People hate Barry like he killed someone or he ran a dogfighting club. At worse he is a cheater and nothing more. People who hate him better not have ever cheated on a test, taxes, girlfriend ect....

Very good point, Im afraid when all the steriod investigations are over were going to discover that a large number of players were taking them yet few seem to realize that and Bonds continues to get all the hate. The guy is getting more heat than Michael Vick and he hasn't even committed a crime.
