I personally do. I can only watch the World Cup, and that's mainly for the atmosphere (and EVERYONE watches the world cup!).

I've recently started watching a lot of soccer and have been enjoying it. I've watched every match the US has played in the Gold Cup. I will say that it's really hard to watch the MLS though.

Well everyones different I myself don't really think its boring to be honest I tend to think its more exciting because it can take a while to score and the anticipation really builds especially at the end if its still zero - zero.

I love soccer. Other proffessional sports have so much downtime with tv timeouts and other crap now they just aren't fun to watch. Soccer keeps the pace going. Player hurt get the tsretcher lets go. Rain/snow keep playing. It really is the most fun to watch now at least for me.

I tried to like it. I really did, but I couldn't. It seems like they're just running around and kicking the ball until someone manages to score.

In football, each play/down/pass is so crucial, so cerebral. The suspense is overwhelming. Also, it's the true team sport. No one player can dominate. If a lineman misses his assignment, it can be a team's downfall.

I liked playing soccer when I was a kid, though. It's a great game for kids to develop their coordination for later.

i think soccer is a waste of energy. there's so much energy and enthusiasm between the athletes and the fans involved that it sucks when there's only a couple points scored between the teams. it's like running for nothing except an occasional hard kick to the shin.

I'm not a very big fan of the sport, but I respect it and do watch as much of the World Cup as I can. I wish they could get rid of all of the flopping and diving though.

I am from the U.S.A. so my answer is YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I do respect those who love Soccer/Football and I love seeing the riots.:lol:roulettethedog

Riots are so funny.

Football is the least boring sport in the world, American Football aint bad but bloody hell it last for ages. How can you say Footballs just running around trying to score when American Football is just running up & down(with massive stops) trying to score????

Hockey= just skatin around trying to score

BasketBall = just bouncing and running with a ball trying to score

Exactly ^ if you think the same for one sports its basically the same thing for most others

it all depends on what you grow up on and what other family members or friends like IMO... to which sports you like watching and prefer and for me that will always be Football(soccer) Tennis and Rugby

I tried watching the last World Cup. I saw some fun games, but a lot of stuff I didn't enjoy.

Despite the claims that they were cracking down on diving I saw a lot of diving rewarded on the field. That was just downright annoying and it was hard to respect the players who do that. Not that I think it was the refs fault, poor sportsmanship like diving seems to be pretty rampant and I think they need more refs to cover that big field so they can see the plays better. Also divers need to be tossed into the crowds of opposing teams fans...

Additionally scoring often seems to have more to do with a mistake by a defenseman or goalkeeper rather than a particularly great move or feat by the scoring player. That's not to say there aren't some awesome goals, and all sports are partially taking advantage of other team's mistakes, but it seemed that is a bigger part of soccer than other sports I watch.

It seems like a fun sport (to play for sure) but those two issues really turn me off when it comes to watching.

They should finally get a video replay(like the NHL, NFL and even at important moments the NBA), they should get a 4th active officiall to keep track of whats happening, and they should have a playclock to make teams run more offesive plays, that should all help speed the game up a little. Since a couple of years one network measures the actual playing time, and mostly it's about 45mins., but in the more defensive games it can go down to 20-25mins. actual playing time, that's just not enough.

I'm not knocking other sports either i love football season. DO NOT bug me on sundays :). I just think soccer is very misunderstood by many due to the lack of exposure to the sport aside from World Cup and the odd news story about some jackass riot.

and EVERYONE besides us shows intrest in most of the Premier Leagues... soccer just sucks over here.. and since we keep blasting sorry internationals like Panama. we are led to believe that U.S. soccer is on the up and up.... just no

I watch mostly La liga and The Premiership.. it gets some parts of Bundesliga and Serie A... the sport is just wonderful.. the atmostphere is unmatched

Hell no its my favourite sport and i love the fact that the games are low scoring why would anyone want to watch a boring 10-10 game where every shot is a goal i would much rather watch a close 0-0 game because the anticipation is beyond belief.

I only watch the World cup, supporting your own country can be more entertaining than watching random teams run around. But I think soccer is entertaining to watch even though they score a point every 40 minutes.

Soccer is an amazing sport unlike football where their is so much scoring that if 1 player messes up its not that big of a deal but its different in soccer if someone makes a bad pass it could be a break away for the other team and they would win the game because the def is so amazing.

HELL NO Soccer aint boring. American Football is boring. (After reviewing the play, we still can't make the call). There's a whistle every two seconds and games are 3 hours long. Soccer games are 90 minutes with halftime, thats it. Very simple yet very interesting. World's greatest sport..... By the way, Canada got screwed yesterday vs. USA. They should have won that game in extra time.

I love to watch soccer the game keeps you on your feet all the way to stopage time. Yes the MLS isn't to good and actually really boring but the English League and Spanish League is quite good espacailly this year with the Spanish League having Real Madrid and Barcelona having to be tied up with Madrid winning by amount of goals scored and let in.

They didnt win by goal difference because Barcelona had a much better goal difference they won on head-to-head results between the two.

Like most people I got hooked on soccer after watching last years world cup thanks to my uncle who used to see it in austrailia. I only like international soccer and other than that I stick to the English Premier League since I like Chelsea and I saw the Champions league. It was kind of funny how there were 3 english teams out of the last four and the Italians ended up winning anyways, darn AC Milan! I cant stand MLS though it just seems too boring.

Video replay? no thanks let start putting tv timeouts in soccer to. Thats one of the things i love about soccer there is little to no downtime during a game. Another ref to help keep an eye things sure thats something they should have done ages ago. QuattroRS6

So would you rather let players get away with cheating and faking plays or have video playback so refs can review plays? It would add like 15 minutes to a game max, AND it would add suspense to the game. Having video playback would cost much less than having to hire another ref for every game.

WHAT!!?!?!?! only 15 minutes.. watch the game before you make a statement like that.. Video replays for what in soccer.. dives, handballs, fouls? that happens to frequently to allow vid replays for such madness..the game would be an hour longer easier.. socccer would inherently suck .. you see how many stoppages are in an AVERAGE nfl football game? no. justnno.. the game would be forever ruined with madness like that.. the ONLY time i see vid replays even coming to soccer is for handball goals..

The feelings, the drama, the glory, the sadness, the joy and everything in between is what can FOOTBALL give you. And what makes it more special than any other sport, is the fact that you never know what can happen even in the very last moments. This is football and NOT boring at all.

Sinox2003

What random teams??? People support the local team (part from glory supporters) And feel the same way they do about there country.

And its not a point its a goal, and its not every 40 minutes, its every 45 minutes.

because of the quality of play. the "touch" of American players is not as sweet as say players from Brazil. Dempsey is a pretty good show man. I also love it when Onyewu gets Borgetti all riled up and he starts to cry momma.

I heard once, and i think it holds true to a certain extent, that if you take a soccer game'sscore and times it by 7 it is like an American football score. A.k.a: 28 to 7, Argentina over US. Does this work for you?
