No his legacy isn't ruined. He already won a championship pretty much by himself. Bosh and Lebron followed him to Miami. Wade has also proven time and time again he is a warrior in the playoffs and will never give up. He can turn it on and play on an entirely different level.

And his name is Dwyane.

The Heat will always be DWades team. His legacy is not hurt. It's Lebrons legacy that could be hurt.

His legacy probably isn't hurt much. I think it is to a small extent, but LeQuit and Bosh followed him to Miami and have to play on his team. As others have said, he also has won a championship.

For the most part, his legacy is fine. He won a title as "the man" on his team - even though that team had underrated talent on it - but I think it may put a ceiling on just how high he can rise in the greatest players of all-time discussion.

DWade won a title with Shaq! He is like Kobe...lets see if he can win one without Shaq...but wait! He now has LBJ and Bosh. Look at Wades stats: 1 title, NO MVP's, 1 NBA Finals MVP, 1 scoring title, 1 NBA ALL STAR MVP...those stats are decent at best. Whatever he accomplishes from here on out, will be looked at with caution because of his two side kicks. I took it to heart when a Chicagoan like Wade would slam the Bulls organization the way he did back in May. If Mike aint hating on the Bulls then who in the hell is Wade to be talking smack about the Bulls?!?! I like Wade's talent, just not his character.

If you think Shaq waas anything close to what he was in LA then you are sorely mistaken. Shaq was a former shell of himself in Miami. Wade was the star player who did it all. Did Shaq get the ball in crunch time? Hell no. Shaq wasn't even on the court in the late stages of the game.

And decent at best stats? lulz. You're just basically upset Wade talked smack about the Bulls. Miami and the Bulls have had some heated games the past few years. Get over it.

How old are you dude? Better yet, how good is your knowledge of basketball? By the looks of it...you dont seem to know too much! Face facts...Shaq was STILL a force in 2006. Name me one center in the year 2006 that was CLEARLY better than Shaq? Dont say Yao cuz Yao still has a hard time against the Shaq daddy! And Dwight Howard was still a year or two away from taking over. There was NO WAY IN HELL MIAMI WAS GOING TO WIN THE 06 TITLE WITHOUT SHAQ! None! It would have been IMPOSSIBLE. Wade was not going to beat Dirk, Stackhouse, Jason Terry or even the young Devin Harris by himself. Think about it dude, Shaq cleared up space for DWade to operate. It doesnt matter how old Shaq was...it was still Shaq in the NBA Finals. That alone will command respect and put some focus on him. If you really, truly believe Wade would have won that title without the big man in the middle...then Im sorry dude...ur dumb as rocks. Winning with Shaq is no legacy. Winning without another super star on your team will define your career and it will guarantee you a spot in the Hall of Fame.

And its a common sight to see guys having won a title, along with an MVP award here and there...like I said, those are decent stats. By no means is that incredible, let alone outstanding where Wade will be consider one of the greatest of all time. HA! You say I should get over it?!?!?! Its about respect! The Chicago Bulls are ONE OF THE BEST ORGANIZATIONS IN THE NBA(6 titles)! Along with that, the greatest player EVER played on that team...Wade aint nobody to be speaking negative about a team he never played for. Go ahead and kick rocks young buck, educated yourself before you speak.

RaccoonChump

When all else fails, resort to personal insults right? Who's talking about age again?

I'm from Miami. You don't think I watched every second of those playoffs? Wade was the hero. Wade was the man. Wade did everything. Shaq was a force, but he was also a liability. In no way was he even close to his Lakers days with Kobe. It's also not Wade's fault Lebron and Bosh joined him in Miami. If you honestly think being a multiple time All-Star with a ring, Finals MVP, scoring championship, and All-Star MVP is decent... then wow. Did I say he was the greatest? No. That's one hell of a player though.

Also, how many championships do the Bulls have WITHOUT Jordan? Zero. More like the Bulls are a great franchise BECAUSE of Jordan. Just like the Heat are a relevant franchise BECAUSE of Wade. And before you respond leave the insults out of the convo. They have no place here.

What Antoine Walker's stats were better than Shaqs in the finals. It was wade dragging his sorry butt around.

I mean you might as well say Wade can't win without Antoine Walker or Zo niether.

Out of the 3 guys I respect D-Wade's game the most. He never takes a game off and always is going full speed ahead. He has tremendous skills, and when everyone said all he could do was drive to the hoop he worked on his outside game and can hit the midrange jumper and three with consistency now. His defense is pretty damn good, and he seems like a great teammate. Also, he already won a ring being the main man so what is there to be down on the guy about?

Duke.... I'm no Heat fan, but Antoine Walker had better stats than Shaq in that Finals.... Shaq was TERRIBLE in the first 2 games and D-Wade was brilliant in all aspects in the last 4. All of those were close games too, and Wade was clutch as hell(Along with Payton, Posey, and Alonzo Mourning) The Heat wouldn't have won that title without Shaq, but he didn't do much at all against the Mavs except miss free throws.

lebrons legacy is doomed now.....wade's is good. thats his squad, bosh is a high profile role player, thats it. but lebron downgraded himself to that joinin wade. simply, no one whats to think of it that way, just like if wade went to cleveland, vice versa.

Wade is and always will be one of my fav players from that class, but Bron is definitely a sell out and lost his legacy when he joined Wades team and became a puppet for miami.

D.Wade, in my opinion is better than LeBron, because he just made the heat a team that people could call one of the best in the nba.

yeah have to agree with some of that. You can't use the Kobe comparison cause he didn't get any rings until the Grizz gift wrapped Gasol and gave him to the Lakers for practically nothing. I recall those years Gasol wasn't around and they usually ended withe Lakers losing to the Suns in the 1st round. Everyone winning a ring needs a decent team around them, even Kobe Bryant. D-Wade was injured for most of 2 seasons, and then had to play lone superstar on a rebuilding franchise. His patience has now been rewarded with the best SF in the game, and one of the better PF's. D-Wade has his low points in his game like anyone else, but he has already accomplished a lot for still being in his twenties.

dwade had shaq, alonzo mourning gary peyton the year he won... help up tha butt.. James on the other hand could lead a team on his own for a 60win season..he is better than wade.

when wade had to be the only star he couldnt do it.. see the past 4 years... kobe was the same i admit however he had his breakout season in 2007-08 when andrew bynum developed into a force...i believe they could have beat the celts that year had andrew bynum had good knees..

but he went down and lakers got gasol...gasol.. did anyone kow this dorito eater? not until he played alongside one of the best.. now everyone says he is awesome and equal to shaq in his prime helping kobe win rings... it ridicoulus..

dwade on the other hand is getting an NBA fantasy team to try ande win.. pat riley trying to ripoff the boston formula.

to stay on the thread i have to see miami in action to decide whos legacy took the biggest hit.
