Dwight Freeney has a torn ligament in his ankle and his status for the SuperBowl is uncertain

In my opinion this is karma showing the Colts how badly they messed up their chance at history

Resting their players stopped what injury exactly? Maybe if they didn't rest players everyone would be loose enough to prevent injuries.

It's going to be hard for the Colts to get a pass rush with Freeney down

How the hell can you guess the game and a half of sitting out didnt prevented an injury??? Seriously, get a clue.

That's a stretch if I ever saw one. It's not like Freeney was sitting at home doing nothing for a year. He sat out for what, 2-3 weeks (counting their bye)? He probably practiced during that time too.

If he played during that time, he would've been running straight at a 300-pound offensive lineman play after play. There's more potential for that to break him down than sitting on the bench for a few weeks and then playing.

I agree with Jaysonguy, at least in part. The goal of resting players was to prevent injury. One of your stars gets hurt anyway. You might as well have gone all out.

But what if Reggie Wayne was injured in the last week of the season, AND Dwight Freeney injured himself now? Then Jaysonguy would probably be making a thread about how karma visited the Colts for risking it by playing until the final week.

Worst reasoning for karma I've ever seen.

E.G. : Wes Welker. And BTW, it's bad Karma if the Colts lose the Super Bowl.

That Karma line got me to. Some people just hate the Colts and will use anything to attack them.

Colts should've went for 19-0. Classless organization.

They are classless because they didnt go for 19-0? I dont agree with the decision but it isnt classless, not even close.

Sheesh, you're risking injury if you go for 19-0 (Pats), but you risk getting rusty if you rest your starters (Colts). What are these teams supposed to do?

Yeah, I think you need to look up the definition of classless, because resting your starters do avoid injury isn't.

A Patriots fan talking about classlessness:lol: Does the 2007-08 Pats team ring a bell? That was a classless team, and the very definiton of karma was them choking in the Super Bowl.

It is a shame seeing him injured and most likely will not be able to play in the Super Bowl, I wanted the Colts team to be at full force when we play them so that no one can knock my Saints when they win the Super Bowl.
