The only games that I ever liked for sports that EA made was the MVP series. I also liked 2k's baseball games as well but ever since I bought a DC when it launched, I have always followed 2k since.
I like both companies because I feel they do a good job of pushing the envelope in different areas but I will say I like more EA games. I do like NBA 2K7 a lot and I am praying they get MLB 2K7 right (since 2K6 was a crapfest!) but I LOVED MVP 05 (still have it for PSP and I think it is one of the best baseball games ever), I LOVE NCAA football and Madden football (even 06 for 360 because the gameplay was great), and NHL 07 for 360 is the best hockey game I have played since NHL 93, 94 for Sega Genisis! NBA Live took a step back this year (the gameplay was actually very good for 06 they just didn't have much to do) but I will check it out next year and NBA Street Homecourt had a great demo and it's getting good reviews with people saying it's the best one in the series. I also want the new Def Jam which I think will rock after playing the demo. I know a lot people don't like EA but I really think they do a god job overall. I mean, people complain about the NFL deal they did but 2K struck back with the baseball 3rd party deal which killed the best MLB game in MVP. EA has made games that I have loved for years and I still think they make/put out some of the best games. I will take EA for sure but 2K is also a great company in its own right.
I like the 2K football games alot better than Madden, but EA made my favorite Baseball game of all time wich is MVP05. EA also does alot of other sports genres too. NFL 2k5 is my favorite sports game of all time so I'll have to give it to 2K.
I forgot to mention that 2k made NBA2k7, the only Basketball game that I ever like.
NBA 2K7 and College Hoops 2K7 just kill Live and March Madness in every aspect(though I do wish fastbreaks would actually FEEL like fastbreaks and not trying your hardest to keep the superfast PFs from getting infront of you...) But, I'm still a hard Madden fan. It's pretty much tradition for me to buy Madden and NCAA Football(which is actually better than Madden) every year, and this year will be the first time I get one for PS3(I already had Madden 07 on PS2 and I'm not about to have the same game but just for different systems)

I agree with everything you just said. MVP 2005 is the Considered one of the Best Sports games of all time. NHL 07's Skill stick was Amazing and Innovetive So take that EA haters. The Homecourt Demo is Fun and the Game braker is the best idea in street games ever
EA only because they make the D really bad for everygame. It makes me look good everytime i just stuff the com. 2K makes great games too but my confidence isn't as high when I don't demolish my opponents.
Yea i love madden and i play it all the time but 2k been kicking booty in everthing els. Im cant wait intill the new 2k football game comes out, because the last espn football game killed madden maybe not completly in gameplay but in presentaion and graphics it did.
nba2k7>live        nfl2k5>madden    Personally I thought High heat was the best baseball. Now EA doesnt have to improve madden too drasticly every year with no competition
As big of a fan as I was EA and man i was big, i was disappointed when EA bought the nfl licence. Any who Madden has better gameplay then 2k even though 2k looked amazing and the animations were just so pure. EA really screwed up on both bball titles 2k does them right. And hockey goes to EA, 2ks just seem to dull but it still good dont get me wrong. Baseball goes to EA even though its collage now. Im going to have to go with EA but 2k is right beside them and i wouldn't be surprised if they passed them.
