On Letterman last night Brett Favre layed small hints that he may come back. He said something along the lines of "When training camp comes closer something might happen." You can hear and watch the video here.

What woudl you think if he came back and played for another team?

(and how mad would EA be if they had him on the cover in a packers jersy and hes playing in another jersy lol)

i want to see favre play for the packers, but i would be just as happy to see him play on a different team, as long he's still in the nfl. and i don't think EA would care, bc #1 they make a crapload of money because people buy the same rehashed game every year without realizing it and #2 favre made his legacy in green bay, when people think green bay they identify with brett favre.

He'll have a terrible season and be forced to retire on a low note.

This would ruin his Greenbay Legacy. Fans would hate him for abandoning the Packers by claimign retirment and then immediatly returning the next season for another team.

Saw that video on PTI - just sounds like he'll miss the game and will have the drive to want to play, but nothing about playing.

When I first started watching football, I used to idolize Favre. I actually argued with people who called Manning better than Favre. Now he just annoys me so much.

That's just what Aaron Rogers needs. Just when he thinks he finally has the job to himself, he has to look over his shoulder or worry about an injury and Favre ends up coming back. So, lets say Rogers is doing good, gets injured and misses 3-4 games, Favre comes in and subs well, who gets the start when both are healthy?

In my mind, Favre gave the job up when he retired and needs to stay retired. Nothing more annoying than a player having a tearful news conference and retiring, then second guessing his decision and comes back. More times than not, they ruin their legacy a bit by coming back. Lets not forget Favre was on the downhill for awhile until last season's fountain of youth, and he did show his typical bad judgement his last game against the Giants. Besides, time to see what Rogers can do.

He was just joking around with letterman. He is NOT coming back. Why can't people leave this guy alone

"There are always second thoughts, but that's not saying I am coming back," Favre said.

"And yes, he is retired, despite the rumblings that nothing is final. The Packers placed Favre on the reserve/retired list on Friday, although he has yet to file his papers with the league."

But Favre retired and that's it. It's the media and everyone else trying to make him come back and making up stories; don't blame Favre.

I dunno he didnt sound to be joking around if you watched it. Do I think he will be back? no, but still dropping these hints and not filing his papers for retirment are quite fishy.

But this wasnt the media making up rumors. This was Favre on tape saying things that hint that he doesnt know what might happen.

When I saw that on TV last night I just thought he was talking about feeling like he wanted to play again like most retired players do and not actually coming back.

He said "something is bound to happen" and they both start laughing. IDK to me this is nothing at all but I guess you can interpet it differently.

The real reason Favre was on the show was to show off the Madden cover, not to drop hints about next season.

i said i didnt think he would be back, but i said its fishy that he goes and talks about this stuff. It's annoying. He needs to just sign the retirment papers and stop teasing packers fans with the hope he will return.

I hold you to that when training camp/season starts.

He's not coming back.
