Surprise, surprise. The best pound for pound fighter in the world is back. Is he risking his legacy by coming back? I think so, but who cares, just give us Paquiao vs. Mayweather and blip boxing, you can have it back.

Not shocked one bit tbh. Anyway if he can win his first fight, I could defiantly see him vs. Pacquio being an amazingly rated PPV event despite the economy. Tough it's alot easier to watch it online tbh

His legacy? Who has the guy beaten. He beat an obviously over the hill Delahoya on a SPLIT DECISION. He beat Arturo Gatti at the end of his career, but even in his prime was never a great technical boxer. He was a showman who wanted to throw 100 punches a round and not have a lick of defense. He also beat Zab Judah, nuf said on that one. So that leaves Ricky Hatton, who i think is good but looking at his track record his only notable wins were against Kasta Tszyu and maybe (big maybe Jose Louis Castillo who mayweather also beat). So looking at that, mayweather has beat one legit fighter in their prime in his whole career. IMO he needed to comeback to have a legacy. Now if he can beat Manuel Marquez (who is no joke especially after 2 years off), then beat Pacquiao if he wins tonight, and then can beat either Mosley, Cotto or Paul Williams some time towards the end of next year, then he can retire undefeated and be thought of as one of the best ever. But until then he's just a guy who's got a lot of wins against no names and fighters well past their prime.

We shall see, I just want to see great boxing. Hopefully my boy Cotto can get a chance at the big boys and make his name.

Mayweather vs. De La Hoya - Mayweather W by split decision. Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya - Pacquiao W by TKO 9. De la Hoya "No Mas!" Mayweather vs. Hatton - Mayweather W by TKO 10. Pacquiao vs. Hatton - Pacquiao W by TKO 2. Mayweather was planning his comeback after seeing the Pacquiao - De La Hoya fight. He knows he needs a tune up fight before fighting Pacman.

Yeah I was never that impressed with Floyd. If DelaHoya keeps jabbing in rounds 9 thru 12 he beats Mayweather. In the Hatton fight the telling moment is after the stoppage, Floyd cries. I believe a release of all the fear he had as for the first time he was in a fight that he wasn't confident his showboating and 2 punch combos were doing a decisive job. Now Pac man blasts Hatton in 2, will Floyd fight Pacqiou? I hope so. Pac man in 7. He's fast enough to hit Mayweather consistently and Floyd can't stand and take 'em in order to land 'em.

I wouldn't be surprised if Marquez wins this tune-up fight and ruins Mayweather's chance for what wuold probably be his biggest payday.

I hope Marquez knocks out Pretty Boy Floyd. But then again, I really would love to see Mayweather/Pacquiao.

I guess he figures you can never have too much money, he will obviously get paid huge money for a fight with Manny. A fight I expect he will lose. He will be even richer, but no longer will be able to lay claim to being undefeated, in my opinion anyway.

It was obvious Floyd would not really retire, he loves money more than anything else in the world.
