Spurs, I hope. As much as hate to admit cause I dont like them...the Suns have played well this year (not championship material but still). Plus they beat the Spurs twice this season. I just hope the Spurs can keep up their energy and shot-making like they did against the Mavericks.

If I could pick anyone to see beat the Suns in the playoffs Itd be the Spurs because the Suns hate them :P

I say we see a changing in the guard, with the Suns winning Game 1, i can see this team beating the Spurs this series. New coach, new philosophy.

The Suns won the season series against the old Spurs, they can win the postseason series against them as well. History wont repeat itself this year. New decade, new Suns. Sorry Spurs fans. Wait... actually I'm not sorry... not sorry at all. I can't wait to see the Spurs go down in flames. :) Go Suns!

I'm cheering for the Suns. I like Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli but they won too many against the Suns.

I want to see Grant Hill and Steve Nash go far this time.

It's one game, the Spurs are far from done. If they steal one of the 2 in Phoenix they have a good shot. The Suns may have a new coach and some new players but they still have the same problem, they are soft as hell on defense.

Might want to check your sources on that "soft as hell" defense. Try NBA.com? :) The Suns actually held their opponents on 45.2% field goal percentage, the EXACT same as the Spurs 45.2%. They also have a +4.90 average point differential against their opponents, which is in the top 5 of the NBA, and right behind the Spurs +5.08%. The Suns get 43.0 rebounds per game, which is 6th best in the NBA and the Spurs get 42.7 rebounds per game which is only 9th best. The Suns get 5.1 blocks per game, 12th best in NBA while the Spurs get 4.6 blocks per game, 22nd best. The Suns ARE the 3rd WORST in the league in steals, with only 5.84 steals per game... but at the same time, San Antonio is the 5th worst with only 6.29. These numbers show that the Suns defense is on par with the Spurs, if not better. Yet the Spurs are always considered such a "good defensive team" and the Suns are considered such a "bad defensive team". The only area where the Spurs really beat the Suns in defensively is the perimeter defense... the Suns only have the 16th best perimeter defense, only holding their opponents to 35.5% 3 point shooting while the Spurs are the 5th best, holding their opponents to 34.3%.

If Nash plays like that for the series then the Suns will sweep the Spurs. But realisticly, if Nash keeps pushing the tempo and taking shots this could be the year when the Suns make it past the Spurs. Amare wants a big payday next season so he has to show he can make a difference in the playoffs. Steve is running out of time to get to the finals so he is going all out, and J-Rich just loves to score so he is on the right team for that. Probably look for this series to go to 6-7 games.

^^ Are you sure Spurs will take this in 6-7 games? Looks like they're down 2-0. It's going to be hard for the Spurs to win this now.

Perhaps now more people will believe in the Suns.

This year they have some sort of swagger they didn't have back in 05 and 07. Not going to be easy, but I'm pretty sure they will take this series.

Also, it's a different team this year other than Nash and Stoudamire. And they're playing some pretty good D! :o

When is Robin Lopez coming back? If he comes back during this series than they'll be much better than they're playing now!

I think the 07 team was better, but it was just VERY unlucky (ie Nash's nose at the end of game 1, the suspensions, Tim Donaghy, etc. etc.).

But the Suns will pretty much win this round, and I bet it feels VERY good for them to get back at the Spurs.... this team is legit.

I feel good about the Suns chances this year. If we can finish this series in 4-5 games, we can take the Lakers. I know we can. Our strengths play into their weaknesses. We just need to take care of business. Also, I want the Celtics to make it to the finals as well. If we can somehow make it to the finals and play them, we have a great chance to win it all. We own the Celtics. Go Suns!

haha as much as I love Steve Nash, I feel like your getting ahead of yourself here.

The Spurs aren't exactly out of it yet, you still have to win 2 more.

If Bynum stays healthy the Lakers are tough to beat, althoughtheir benchisn't that good besides Odom.

The Celtics are a long shot as well, don't sleep on Orlando.

All that said, I would love to see the Suns win it all. Nash deserves it more than anybody!

Also it's pretty noteworthy is that the Nash Suns have won every Game 4 against the Spurs - in the 2 seasons they lost the series 4-1 that one win came during Game 4, including AT San Antonio.

The Suns could possibly beat the Spurs in 5 games... wow can't believe it.

Actually bad comparison, because the Suns are better than those teams (except maybe 07 in which they were hit by bad luck).

I dont think the Suns will sweep the Spurs but I still think they'll win the series, unfortunately.

Spurs dont seem to be playing as hard as they did against the Mavricks. Anyway, The Suns will never get past the Lakers so I just want this series over with so I can see Kobe and gang eliminate the Suns.

The Suns are like a poor man's Magic.

Nash can do it all.

Richardson is showing up when it counts.

Grant Hill is staying consistent and playing All-NBA defense.

Stoudemire is impossible to match up with because of his speed and strength.

Frye is spreading the floor and the Spurs need to pick their own poison.

And then you got the solid bench that brings energy. (I know Frye comes off of the bench but he plays the majority of the minutes at Center.)

Lopez doesn't need to rush back from injury right now, the Suns seem to be handling it down low, he should just get as much rest as he can and get ready for Bynum/Gasol/Odom, hes going to need it.

So you're saying Nash is Nelson, Richardson is Carter, Hill is Barnes, Stoudemire is Howard, and Frye is Lewis? Funny comparison. But Magic has Stan Van Gundy...um...so there! :P

The Suns are sort of a surprising team. We all thought Mavs and Thuggets would challenge the Lakers. Could we see a Suns VS Lakers for the Western Conference Finals? Also, while we're at it, do I foresee a Magic VS Celtics Eastern Conference Finals? Interesting playoffs this has been!

All things come to an end at some point, I forsaw the end of the Spurs dominance over the Suns over, so far, I am correct. But a series isn't a series until the road team wins.

Holy crap, Dragic is going crazy! :o You know what's kind of a cool story? ESPN was saying that Dragic used to wake up 4 in the morning to watch his basketball idol play. And guess who that idol is? Steve Nash! :D Anyway, is the Suns going up 3-0? Looks like it!

Well the Suns are outplaying the Spurs in the 4th now (by 14, now 11 (Manu FTs)), Dragic has like 23 or 25 points and Nash hasn't played for most of the second half.

I think the Spurs' dynasty is coming to an end.

Alvin Gentry is a great coach. Much better than that fool Dantoni.

He is playing the Spurs PERFECTLY, and then he's got that bench playing even better than the starters.

This could be Phoenix's year.

HAHAHAHA Where are all you people that counted out on the Suns and said they'd get swept by the Spurs now? Where are all the Spurs fans? Hiding under a rock to avoid humiliation? The Suns are using the Spurs as toilet paper now and it's not pretty for the Spurs fans. I'm loving EVERY second of it though. Just seeing the Spurs get swept would make this whole season a complete success no matter what happens next round or the round after. Spurs FTL :)

Are you calling the Suns boring in comparison to the Spurs? If Lopez comes back the Suns have a decent chance of beating the Lakers.
