Well now that Favre's season has ended with him going 20-40 for 233 yards 1TD and 3INT's is that his last game

Jets ownership wanted wanted a two year commitment from him at the start of the season and he refused. Maybe it's one and out.

I say he's done, I also think that he's going to do to the Jets what he's been doing to the Packers for years now.

UPDATE:

Favre's shoulder will not need major surgery, he'll only need a small arthroscopic procedure to fix a small bicep tear

That means he's able to play next season if he chooses

UPDATE:

Favre hasn't even bothered to hear what was said about him by Thomas Jones

UPDATE:

Favre to wait several weeks for decision

I hope he's done. I'm tired of his drama. Hopefully we won't see another tearful press conference. He should just tell the Jets he's done, submit his retirement papers, and leave the game gracefully (if that's still possible).

I want to say this will be it, but I thought he was done after last season.

I'll just take a stab and say the Jets convince him to come back. I mean, someone has to be the first to get 500 touchdowns................

I think he is done. I dont think he even wanted to play this season once he couldnt play it with the Packers but had no choice. He's done.

How about this one: Favre retires and the Jets free up $13 Million in cap room. Guess which QB becomes a free agent next season that would love some of that money? Matt Cassel. Cassel on the Jets, you heard it here first.

Hmm........he played like crap down the stretch so he might, but he might also want to make-up for that :? Maybe the Jets run him outta there? I just heard he was "called into the principal's office" and scrutinized for throwing bad balls.

I think he should retire, he was great and was a big part of getting us the wins over the Titans, Cardinals, and Patriots

however he ranged from bad to terrible in each of the last 5 games as well as in the Raiders game earlier in the season

I really think it's possible that Pennington or Clemens could have gotten us at least the 9 wins Favre got, and possibly 10 or 11 when considering the games that should've been easy wins that we lost

I think hes done as well. Although his shoulder is jacked up too which might further help his decision. I hope he retires. I think the Cassel call on the Jets next year is a good one.

No, he is not done and even if he does retire he'll just come back at age 45. I really don't want to see Favre leave, I really like him as a player and his drama is NO WHERE NEAR AS BAD as T.O/Romo/wade phillips/dallas cowboy bullcrap.

I want to see him sign with Minnesota. If he only agreed to a one year deal with the jets, then I think he will not have any obligations to either the packers or jets know. Minnesota is in just as bad as shape with the QB position as they were at the beginning of the season.

Favre ended up being the worst starting QB in the division when all was said and done. Pennington (the castoff), Cassel (1st year starter), and even Trent Edwards (a nobody) all ended up rated higher than him. The Jets took a shot and it didn't happen. I don't think they'll kiss Favre's butt and count the seconds until he gets around to making a decision. They will try for Cassel if the Pats don't franchise him or just go into the draft and start over. Favre's finished in New York whatever he decides.

Lets hope he is gone although it might be fun to have him back so the Jets can continue thier tradition of sucking. What is most amusin about the man is had there been at least 1 more quarter in that game he's had probably thrown more INT's for the year than TD's because as it was he finished with a perfect 1:1 ratio throwing 22 TD's and 22 INT's. Yeah, thats the guy I want QB'ing my team alright. Keep him, fire the coach. LOL!

BTW the Pats will almost definately frachise Cassel and somehow I doubt they will be dealing him to the Jets. If he were washed up like Bledsoe was was he was traded than yes but I fully expect that they will deal with Cassel and try to get the kid some money, but it will have to somehere out of the division.

I feel that Farve is done and should have not even gone to the Jets. I am a Jets fan and feel that him learning a new offense, especially one as opposite as the Packers offense was not a smart move. I was personally looking foward to Clemens starting for the Jets, getting some games under him and then growing into a strong QB as I feel he can. I think he has the capabilities to be mentioned with some of the big QBs in the game but not without getting some time on the field which Farve has taken from him. So final say, Farve done, Clemens in, Jets contender with the Pats for AFC next year.

The Jets need to cut Favre and just explain this was all a mistake

Favre does NOT want anything to do with the Jets

Favre hasn't even heard Thomas Jones' comments

Here's the "leader" of the Jets not even following what's going on with the team? It's not like Jones is the 5th string guy, he's the starting back. Favre doesn't have to go tit for tat but he's got to know what the current situation is in the locker room.

Favre can't even be bothered to follow what's going on with the Jets until he makes his final decision? What's next, is he going to wonder what's with the new guy in the coach's office?

Favre is supposed to lead this team but how can you be a leader when you distance yourself from the team the second you're able?

I think the Jets fans and Jets franchise minds

It's not like he's on a team that's in place where the coaches knows the backup and if they want to go forwards that way if Favre doesn't come back or if they want to go in the draft.

There's no coaches and there's no continuity in anything. Heck the Jets are coming off a year where they just added a whole lot of pieces that Mangini wanted for him team. Mangini is gone and the players are still there.

Now Favre is going to wait weeks for a decision? That seems like a big screw you to the Jets.

i liked Favre but the Jets fan in me is happy that he won't be coming back for another year. Now it leads to the question of whether to go with Clemens, bring in a veteran, or draft a QB
