im playin it right now and so far its pretty good, the only thing i dont like about it and hope that ea changes is da new kick meter, that thing sucks to me, bring back the RS kicking

I can't figure out the kick meter either. It's a regression, kicking used to be controlled by buttons, then they went to the stick in several years ago.
The reason they gave for changing the kicking control scheme is because the analogue stick proved to be too easy. People were kicking 65 yarders with regularity. That's the reason they gave, not mine. It was pretty easy though.DJ_Magnetobut wouldnt u need a kicker who had the leg to kick it dat distance because my kicker usually got me a at least 56 yards and dat was barely over the cross bar
i also hate that dpad thing because it just slows down the game, i got a couple of penalties because i was so used to hitting y or triangle to call my plays, the locomotion felt non existent, the auto turbo sucked, y in the hell do i need auto turbo when i can do it myself, the punt return blockers still ran right past their man, overall decent demo, i just hope that they go over to ncaa 11 and put some of that gameplay into madden 11 cuz i dont see myself wanting it as much as i used to

Thats the only thing about the new madden i dont like..The right stick kick was the best method..Looked better than this kick does this year..They made a big mistake like you folks said..Maybe they can revert back to last years model with a patch..

You're free to facepalm.

Well, here's what I read, thus my comment... http://www.pnosker.com/video-games/xbox-games/124-madden-11-revamps-kicking-game-removes-sprinting-and-will-call-the-plays-for-you From the article: The last major new addition announced was the revamping of the kicking game. Field goals had gotten ridiculously easy in recent years, with 65 yarders possible, so EA finally decided, after years of community frustration, to change a broken system. According to Gamespot:" """ After aiming your direction arrow, you press a button to set a cursor in motion on the meter, hit the button once the cursor is on the right side of the meter to gauge power, and hit the button a final time once the cursor returns to gauge accuracy."
Madden sucks, but don't tell the fanboys that. Master_LiveNO your WRONG! FACT Lol, had to. Anyways it is good, definately will be buying it, but that is because it is the only game where I can make a Tom Brady to Randy Moss connection :)

Mister__AwesomeAnyways it is good, definately will be buying it, but that is because it is the only game where I can make a Tom Brady to Randy Moss connection :) Exactly, I thought competition was good. In MLB we get 2K because they bought the license and in football we get the crappy Madden. Oh, but look! In NHL where we have competition we get good EA and 2K games. And in basketball we get a good 2K game and a crappy EA game, but we can CHOOSE.
[QUOTE="monkeytoes61"]I was pleasantly surprised. As most know by now, I am a big Backbreaker fan. But Madden 11 was actually a big improvement over 10. The running game is vastly improved, I'm looking forward to renting it and playing it further.Bobbles
Same reaction over here.

Haha, perhaps my love of Backbreaker has come across as too strong :P[QUOTE="Mister__Awesome"][QUOTE="Master_Live"]Madden sucks, but don't tell the fanboys that. Because Madden is a good game but not great, with competition, it might be great of 2K's might be great. Nevertheless, I am getting Madden
:shock:considering this year's NCAA had much of the same improvements as Madden(new locomotion engine) and he hated it, I'm really surprised.[QUOTE="monkeytoes61"]I was pleasantly surprised. I just broke a nice long TD run with S.Greene of the Jets after some really savvy shake and bake running and it was nice to just worry about my jukes, protecting the ball and reading my blocks. Getting rid of the Turbo is long overdue in these EA FB games. I'm liking NCAA FB 11 which is a huge upgrade from previous versions and Madden 11 seems to also have some nice upgrades. I'm the first to rip EA if they do a reheat/ minor update... but Finally these FB games feel and play good on the field and are solid it seems!
The turbo is automatically turned on, you can switch it to button only in the options. They didn't completely get rid of it.I just broke a nice long TD run with S.Greene of the Jets after some really savvy shake and bake running and it was nice to just worry about my jukes, protecting the ball and reading my blocks.
