This should be a great series. Its hard for me to pick a winner but im going to say Hornets in 7. The Chris Paul vs Tony Parker match-up should a lot of fun to watch. Both have that amazing speed and the ability to create for themselves or for their teamates.

You slow down Chris Paul, you beat the Hornets. The Spurs will put Bowen on Paul 24/7 while CP3 has to guard Tony Parker; that will suck the air out of anybody. The X factor for the Hornets will be David West, if he can score plus help Tyson Chandler (not a good one-on-one defender, more of a weak side defender) create an effective resistance against the best slow post scorer in the NBA then maybe they have a chance.

Anyways, Spurs in 6.

This should be a great series right here. I'm going to go with Spurs in six however I wouldn't doubt the Hornets pushing it to seven.

I'm still picking the spurs to win, but after today's game I'd say it will be a 7 game series. In game 1 they looked completely asleep on the defensive side: no boxing out, no hustling after loose balls, no help defense at the basket. Those are all very un-spurs like problems, and it didn't help that duncan kept missing easy baskets that are usually good as gold for him. So, I still pick the spurs in 7.

I'd like to see the Hornets win it all, not because I dislike any of the remaining teams I just want to see a pro (former) North Carolina team do something big.

You know, the suns fans thought that way too and they're out. Robert Horry only plays about 5 minutes a game and he really isn't a critical part of the team any more.

Spurs are in big trouble. So far in these two games they've been completely dominated in the second half of each game.

If Kobe had actually won an MVP prior to this year CP3 would have been it. In any case it's CP3's year, he's the NBA's darling right now. And any way he can get more facetime the better the league will be for the future. (the marketing pitch). Spurs have been there before and the brand of hoops they bring are getting boring for the casual fan. If it were based solely on talent I'd say the Spurs but it a business and I believe Chris Paul smiles his was all the way to the conference finals.

I think the spurs have been beating themselves in this series. They've been showing no hustle, no passion, like they're just content with having 4 trophies. What the hell happened to their intensity from the series with the Suns?

If Tim Duncan was younger, would it have been a different series, maybe, 1-1?

I kind of see Duncan turning into a older David Robinson, how Robinson was a mentor to a young Duncan back in the day. I see Duncan at that role now, except, he has no young Duncan to mentor.

I know Duncan isn't that old, but he's a lot better than this. Either he's struggling or, like I said, getting older.

Let me just call our all of those hypocrites and/or opportunist who voted in the poll after the series had begun. If I recall correctly, the poll stood at Spurs: 12/ Hornets: 2 the day the series started.

He isn't old enough yet for age to be a factor. 34 is usually when a pro athlete's age begins to affect his game. And the effect is far more pronounced on a guard than a big man (which is why it is far more common to see big men play into their early 40's than guards). The main thing he seemed to be missing in the first 2 games is his usual level of aggression; going straight to the basket, irritating defenders with offensive rebounds and tip-ins. I haven't really seen that in the first 2 games.

Oberto? j/k

I think the spurs are just having that "we just won a championship last year, give us a break" mentality

I initially picked the Spurs in no more than 6, but I'm not so sure anymore. NO has really surprised me, I didn't think they'd even get past the first round, not because they lack talent, but because they lack experience.

I actually am picking the Hornets to win this one. I thought game 1 was lucky, but after seeing them in game 2 im a believer. I thought Tony Parker would have a wayyyyy better time with Chris Paul due to his expriece and coming off one of his best playoff series and I guess I was wrong. Chris Paul is dismantling the Spurs and David West is like the icing on the cake. Not to mention Peja is shooting lights out. They have too many weapons and the Spurs can't guard them, epecailly when playing at a fast upbeat tempo them the slow half court game that the Spurs play.

I did some research.

Tim Duncan is 32 right now and that's the exact same age Robinson was when Duncan first came into the league.

I'm not saying age is a issue with Duncan but I just thought that was interesting.

Next to the Warriors the Spurs have been one of my favorite teams to watch in the NBA. Was glad to see The Admiral and Sean Elliot get their rings, even enjoyed watching The Worm wreak havoc with this team but as I've stated before it's just CP3's year. The NBA loves him. He is a great image and persona to help represent the NBA in a good light as apoosed to all the knuckleheaded atheletes that get into trouble almost nightly. Talent wise the Spurs should have rolled over this team. But for some reason the roll players are just not getting it done this year and Paul is playing out of his mind and just running the show.

I don't know why everyone is all up on that kid. Everytime they show him, he's yelling at the officials or running into someone trying to pick up a foul. It's pretty ridiculous how that kid acts. I sorta lost all respect for him, especially when you hear him at halftime making excuses. But I guess he's young and dumb and will only mature. Lebron's maturity at 21 was probably a fluke.

The Spurs already made adjustments. They decided to let Paul go off and keep role players like Peja from getting hot. While I still think Hornets will win, they're going to have to work for this one. Spurs still have yet to play their best game. Duncan isn't playing like himself and, while they got to the paint in the 4th, they're not doing it like they normally will. Hornets have been shooting perfectly these past 3 games and they're bound to have an off game. I don't see those luck shots by Paul carrying over into game 4.

You put compliments on chris paul that have already been said many times about duncan. The hornets have had a surprisingly good year, but I still don't think they'll win the series.

I picked the spurs to win when the series started, i picked them to win when they were down 0-2, and i still pick them now. Hell, quote me on this, I pick the spurs to win it all.
