I think it will be a sweep, by an average margin of about 12 points.  The Cavs are no good, and the East is a complete joke compared to the West.  The Lakers would have been the best team in the East.  These finals are going to be terrible.

And don't say "the Cavs won both regular season games," because that means nothing.  The last 3 teams that have swept the regular season series have all lost in the finals (heard it on SportsCenter earlier).

As much as I enjoyed watching LeBron jump all over the Pistons and turn Tayshaun Prince into a weeping schoolgirl on the court, yeah, the Spurs are going to win. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Cavs win at least one home game, though. Spurs in 5.

Who can contain lebron?... no one. people are way too quick to rule out the cavs. I agree the spurs will win but if gibson shows up to play like last series and lebron plays the way we know he can the cavs might steal it.

Edit: I said might

its gonna go 2 the spurs because of their outstanding d-fense and that they have a team full of good players when compared 2 cavs, they have about 2 (not sure) like king james and larry hughes but unless lebron and the team has a good game, it will be a close one to the end

True, but williams worked for every shot he got, taking many more field goal attempts than usual.  Other than him and boozer, the jazz role players did jack.

2 players aside from Lebron are going to have to step up for the Cavs in order to even make this series close.  King James is only human and he won't be scoring 50 points a game.  Points are going to have to come from somewhere else as well.  The Spurs are nearly undefeated this year when they hold teams to under 100 points.

Yes current all-stars, but do Cavs have any players that made it ANY season? NM, Ilgauskas is a former all-star. Back when all the big men were in the west.

Lebron wills his team to victory but there's no player like Manu Ginobili. When the game is on the line he just has that will and takes over the game AND makes his FREETHROWS. He's the only player in history to have won an NBA Championship, European Championship, and a Gold Medal. His team just wins. Since everyone makes excuses like Suns fans, Spurs could say if it wasn't for Fisher turn around fade away with .4 seconds left (which is impossible) and that foul on Nowitzki in game 7 spurs would be going for their 4th straight title.

Yeah... Bowen did a great job of slowing down D-Will... What was his avg again for that series? Almost 26pts and it would have been over 30pts had he not been injured for game 5... LeBron is going to take over and Gibson is ready to have a solid series. It would take the Spurs winning 4 games would be enough to beat the Cavs but they are only going to win twice cuz the Cavs will win in 6!

For now I'm saying, the Cavs wil take this series in 6, the Spurs have got big match-up problems with LeBron and if they can manage just 1 guy stepping up and supporting LeBron each game(doesn't matter who Gibson, Hughes, Z) they will beat the Spurs.

And for the East beeing no good, the East won 2 out of the last 3 championships, and the Lakers wouldn't have made it past the 1st round in the East, because Kobe is a terrible leader(that's why he wants a veteran player, so he won't have to be the leader anymore), I can't believe nobody else has noticed this, but he's like T-Mac, he just can't lead a team past the 1st round.

Yeah, and who's gonna guard Duncan?, Boozer got burned by Duncan, and Ginobili?, Larry "I'm injured and I'm a Flop" Hughes can't guard him right now or what a about the speedy Tony Parker? Gibson can score but his a defensive liability so they would probably go with Snow. And what about the Spurs championship expirience or how coach Popavich(spelling?) is gonna step over Brown?

I don't think Mike Brown is a good coach he uses his Finally Timeoutes to early so they can't advance the ball when it matters. they really don't have that good of plays. I want the Cavs to win but with Coaching of Mike Brown they won't.

The Cavs have a great player that changes games and hasn't even peaked yet, a good veteran starting Center, necessary role players, plus they have a top ranked defense and they rebound very well. Their coaching staff learned all they know from the Spurs personell and whenever a game is close in the fourth you simply can't count them out.

The Spurs are championship level across the board, a proven team that deserves to be the heavy favorites. But they're facing a tough defensive opponent with a superstar and until I see the Cavs being dominated in game 3 on their home court it's still a series in my eyes.

I really believe this finals will be much more competitve than most are expecting and I wouldn't even be surprised if Cleveland was able to pull off the upset. Perhaps it's wishful thinking but let's just watch the games unfold and see how they match up before crowning San Antonio and throwing up cute polls.

I think we can all disagree with that.  A Spurs/Pistons series would have possibly been the most boring Finals EVER!  The total scores would have all been around 75 points, and the games would have been very slow.  I'm no Lebron fan, but the best thing for everyone involved was for the Cavs to upset the Pistons.

I know everyone in the world wants Lebron to win because he's the greatest player in the history of the game of basketball, no one can stop him, he has amazing dunks, nice step back threes, he's exciting to watch, spurs are boring and dirty blah blah blah. Fact is, Spurs are a better experienced veteran team. Better defensively. Anyone who thinks Gibson can score 31 points against the Spurs better check themselves. Gibson will get one or two open threes the entire series, and will miss both of them since Spurs will be all up in his grill.

Are you still singing that same tune? Spurs are up by 30 or so in game 2. Maybe they should give the Cavs a 10 point head start in the next couple games. Like I said before, Spurs will sweep.

I was real positive about the Cavs chances, but these first 2 games....ouch, the Cavs better adjust fast, because it's starting to look like a sweep(very excitting by the way, a sweep in the Finals).

Spurs in 6. Lebron is a great payer, but he needs to be superhuman to beat this veteran Spurs team. He needs to put up 40-50 every night, and I just don't think he's capable of doing that.

Looks like I gave the cavs too much credit. I thought they would actually win a game at some point.
