How many goals will Ovechkin score this season?

He scored 65 two years ago.

He now has 5 goals 3 games into the season, along with 4 assists.

I'm not saying he'll keep this up all season and finish with like 140 goals and 106 assists for 246 points, which is probably impossible anyway.

But he's only 24 and entering his 5th season.

I think it's possible for him to score 70 goals, maybe not this season, but I'm willing to bet, well maybe not my PS3 but a couple of games, that he'll score that many goals at least once in his career.

He'll get 50 for sure...I wonder if he'll get the 50 goals in 50 games achievement.

It will be tough for AO to reach the 50 goals in 50 games but it is doable!! I think it will be easier to reach 70 goals and I look forward to the day he surpass that plateau.

On a different note, it is too bad that Caps lost to flyers in the OT. At least we got a point out of it. :P

I'll say he gets 71. Nobody is ever going to break Gretzky's record, Barry Melrose said it best, goalies are just too good now and the game is more advanced overall. I agree.
